I made my first relationship choice from a pool of options, looking back today, and seeing how many people choose around, that is one way to choose wrongly. Do not make a relationship choice till the person becomes your one and only.

People leaving us is hard, be it friends, social followers, business partners or employees. But one lesson I have learnt is that it is perfectly okay, and when you have the right perspective on people and their phases in our lives, you'll realize that you have more gratitude and deep sincere appreciation for the time you had together.

I hit one of my lowest sometimes in 2015/16, jobless, broke...I felt like a failure and my parents constant nagging just made it all worse. But I learnt something and that literally carried me out of that state. And that truth is still one of my life's greatest lessons till date.

Growing up, I never knew you could have more than a pair of shoes. How will it be if you conclude and judge a book before getting to the last page of the book, such is our life. Time is a great storyteller, if only we are patient enough to see that story unveil.

Oxygen is not Cheap, a hard realization I came by, thanks to adulting. I believe everyone should seek a healthy balance between wanting to make an impact and the need to make a living.

My parents dissatisfied with my life's choices took me to a Pastor who asked me to write out the blueprint of my life. Guess what, I was completely clueless. Asides from the things I knew I was passionate about and the assignments God has given me, I didn't have my life figured out. 

There is this culture that makes you think like a failure for not having a detailed plan for your life.

Some events in our lives just never leave us the same, worst still if it is negative and happened to be a violation of our humanity, sexuality or rights, such is the event I spoke about in the first episode of this series of #TeesThoughsAt30, Events and Experiences that has seeded up to the man I am today.

I have seen many people hold back from sharing their opinion, contributing to a topic, joining a conversation, or creating content just because they think many people have spoken or are speaking about it already. But this is a wrong way to think.

On this episode of #TeesThoughtsInTransit, I share some points why it’s important to lend your voice, even in a crowded space (or on an over flogged subject).

1. Some people can only hear it from you.

Cos they follow you and don’t follow that influencer that has addressed the subject. Or cos they know you personally. Or for sentimental reasons like how they like your face or accent.

2. There is strength in numbers.

What do you think made movements like #Endsars or #blacklivesmatter strong? It is in the volume of people talking about it. Not just cos people with huge following spoke, but cos everyone spoke. Lend your voice, add your quota, the movement/message is stronger with every additional voice.

3. Timeliness

Did you see the video where a girl shot her shot? She told the guy emphatically “it is you I like”. I posted the video on my WhatsApp story and got a lot of responses so I decided to make a response video for it.

Let’s call it “How to shoot your shot so you don’t die” or “3 Things to note before you shoot your shot”. Enjoy

Is there actually anything like the perfect time? Is anything in like perfect? Why then do we wait for the perfect time and situation to get things done.
