Who Is The Real Jersey Outlaw? Will The Real Jimmie Lee Please Stand Up
I first became aware of Jimmy Lee because so many people asked for me to interview him.
I liked him and his comedy but I was hesitant and din't want to do it.
Not because of Jimmie but because I didn't want to leech off of H3.
Listen, when they had me on their show it gave me an incredivle boost. I had new people from the H3 community subscribing to my channel but also supporting me financaillly. They were buying my merch, buying memberships, sharing my content, engaging etc.
So, just having me on their show was more than enough. It gave a dead channel a couple of months to give it a final chance.
So, I didn't want to start leeching off of them and asking them for things or start interviewing their frequent guests.
But whenever I asked my subscribers who they'd like to see, the overwhelming winner was Jimmie.
Plus, he had a story I could relate to. He's an older guy from South Jersey, who was't sdatisfied with his job and decided to branch out and try to make it in showbiz.
Not an easy thing to do and he failed a lot along the way.
But he finally found his niche and his following gas grow rapidly. He just hit 1m followers on Instagram.
So, I watched every interview with Jimmie that I could find and they all interviewed the Jimmy Outlaw and did goofy skits with him.
That was boring to me. He's done it a million times.
What I was interested in, was who is the real guy behind The Jersey Outlaw.
What motivates him? How he deal living in two different worlds? What mental issues has he suffered from? And why is he so obsessed with becoming famous?
So, I wanted to interview James Weiner but also talk to Jimmie Lee a little bit too.
I hope you like this angle and the conversation. I think it showed a side of him he hasn't shaed much.
And we've got new merch! We're got some great new hoodies to keep you cozy and worm this winter.
And I'm giving 10% off all orders. Just use the CODE: GOBLINMODE at checkout. https://www.thelevelupshop.com/

The Road To Happiness: Overcoming Depression And Living My Dream Life
Subscribe to my newsletter to get inspiration, tips on improving our lives and free giveaways here I have suffered from depression since I was 16 years old. I have attempted suicide multiple times, I've been in a mental hospital, I've tried every medication on the planet, etc. So, I've lived it. It sucks. But I didn't start really working on it until I got sober and later when I met my wife. It started with weekly therapy, then trying different depression medications, then moving and trying a new therapist and doctor. Dealing with depression spells that would last for months, etc. But it wasn't until I was finally correctly diagnosed as Bipolar 2, that it finally started getting better. This is my story. If it helps one of you with your depression, then it was worth it. National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline: Dial 988

Conquering Depression: The Five Steps That Transformed My Life
For a list of 100 books that changed my life, click here. There's a lot of books on there that helped me on my mental health journey. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to make a short video about my struggles with depression and how I've dealt with it. I've never shared this publicly and keep my mental health struggles to myself and family and close friends. But I figured if I made a video explaining what worked for me, and it helped one person, that it was worth putting this out there. I first experienced clinical depression in high school and its persisted my entire adult life. I've attempted suicide, I've struggled with addiction, I've been in a mental hospital, I've seen a ton of psychiatrists, tried every antidepressant, etc. And it took forever to really start making progress. I wanted to share what I've learned on my journey in the hopes that it will help you recover quicker. I have to say that my views are my own and I am not a doctor. These are just my experiences and what worked for me. If you are struggling with your mental health, please seek medical attention first.#mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #depression

Here's The Truth...I Failed
I interviewed Rhuigi a couple of months ago and he said something that really stuck with me: People need to share their sorrows. Because not everyone knows what it feels like to win. But everyone knows what it feels like to lose. So, that’s what I did for this week’s video. I shared a loss with you. I quit my job 10 months ago to focus on the podcast full time. And it’s failed. There’s a number of different reasons for this but the main one was that I pivoted my content. Instead of interviewing big creators every week, I branched out starting interviewing entrepreneurs from all walks of life. I love hearing their inspiring rise to success and learning tips on how we can do the same. But unfortunately, the views and downloads have just been too inconsistent to generate steady revenue. More people want to see me talk with David Dobrik than with a business person. And I totally get it. I’m still going to make the content that I want to make, even if it’s not getting huge views, because there’s a lot that I gain from doing these interviews that goes beyond money. I just won’t have the time to devote myself 100% to it. So, maybe it will mean more Zoom interviews. Or less frequent videos. Who knows? I’m going to start looking for a new job soon. When I first realized that I was devastated. I felt like a complete failure. I’m beyond competitive, and hate losing, so to admit defeat was just unthinkable. But after I sat back and looked at the last ten months, I realized that I made the right decision; even if it didn’t succeed financially. I got to work from home and shared amazing moments with my family. I could pick up my kids at school and take them to the park, or to get ice cream, without worrying about a conference call that I needed to be on. And I also worked harder than I ever had before. I put more hours in than any job that I had before. And 90% of it didn’t even feel like work. It was fun! And my mental health is in such a better place than it was. Every morning, I would chug Pepto – Bismol because I was so anxious about the day. I hated my job, I felt trapped and I didn’t know a way out. Now, I wake up at 5AM. I meditate for 20 minutes. I make the kids breakfast and I drive them to school. Then I work. And when I’m done with work, I hit the gym. I’m about as healthy as I’ve ever been, both mentally and physically. But beyond health reasons, there have been so many more positive experiences that have come as a result of this journey: I've done some coo shit, I've built an incredible network and I've learned about business and social media from the most successful people in the world. The point of all of this is, I don’t regret pivoting my content or quitting my job ten months ago. Did I lose some money? Yeah. Do I look foolish to some? Definitely. But am I in a way better place mentally and professionally? 1000% yes. I’ve been so anxious about posting this video this week. I’ve never admitted failure publicly before and it’s beyond scary. Friends, family, neighbors, etc. will see this. Some will laugh at me. But I really did it because I felt the need to be honest. If I stopped making YouTube videos tomorrow and I never was honest about the real things in my life, I think I would always regret it. But if I really gave it 100% and got real on here, and failed, I could accept that. And additionally, I wanted to share a message with you: It’s never too late to chase your dreams. I think you should do the same. Go pursue your passions. Chase your dreams. It may not make you a millionaire. It may fail. You may look stupid to some. But it will make you happy and fulfill you like nothing else. So, good luck on your journey.

Rhuigi Has Just Got To Be Rhude
Rhuigi is a great story of how hard work and a creative vision can lead you to success, no matter where you started from.
His family immigrated from the Philippines when he was just a kid and he immediately started soaking up the culture.
Rhuigi was always a hustler and started his career in fashion by buying designer brands at thrift shops and selling them for a much higher price to the kids at his school.
From there, he just kept growing. Part of the reason for his success was that he was willing to show up and put in the work. He was just happy to be around designers and would hang out and help with whatever was needed. He wasn’t even getting paid.
But what he learned is far more valuable than an hourly salary.
He took what he learned and started his own brand Rhude, which blew up after Kendrick Lamar wore one of his shirts.
He expanded the line and it’s become a wildly successful streetwear brand.
But he’s moved way beyond Rhude. He’s now the creative director for Bally and the Phoenix Coyotes. In addition to having his own line at Zara.
We talked all about his new ventures and he had some great advice for the young entrepreneurs out there.

How Ronnie 2K Went From Law School To The NBA
Ronnie's story is truly unique. He was raised to focus on his education and then have a successful career in a traditional field. He listened to his parents and graduated from Columbia Law School and then got a job at a prestigious law firm.
After a couple of weeks, he quit. He hated it.
He always had a passion for sports but to make a career out of it, you need to start at the bottom. And that's exactly what he did.
He got an unpaid job working for a women's basketball team. His family thought he was crazy. But he loved it, and knew he was on the right path, so he stuck with it.
He got a job at a minor league baseball team and really learned how to market with no budget.
Around that time, he started getting into NBA 2K and became one its best players. He was an active participant in the community and he showed up on the NBA 2K team's radar.
This was 15 years ago, when Twitter was just getting started, and Ronnie saw its potential. So, he asked an executive at 2K if he could create an account on Twitter: Ronnie 2K. That simple email changed everything.

Michael Cherman Started Out Making Socks, Now He Has A Multi-Million Dollar Streetwear Brand
Michael Cherman got hit by a car in NYC and that tragic event sparked an idea: Making reflective socks as a way for pedestrians to be easily spotted by cars, so they could avoid getting hit.
He went to a market, set up a stand and quickly sold out of the 40 pairs of socks that he brought.
That led to the formation of his first brand, ICNY.
It was a success but after taking on an investor, he was fired from his own company.
Not one to be defeated, Cherman decided that he could do it again.
He experimented with several designs before he hit it big. The one that set it all off was a Nike shirt with a picture of Frank Ocean on it.
He brought it to Complex Con, sold out of it, and made tens of thousands of dollars.
He was back!
Fueled by the success of that shirt, he kept producing high quality streetwear and built a community of devoted fans.
He continues to innovate and frequently does major collabs with bands/brands, like: The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, My Chemical Romance and more.
He also is a big believer in giving back and frequently helps younger designers by sharing what he’s learned along the way.

She literally did every job in the company: From answering angry customers’ emails to actually designing the jewelry. It was that drive to succeed and her vision that made the company succeed. Now, it’s a wildly successful brand, that has expanded beyond jewelry and even has its own retail stores. It was a pleasure talking with such a successful entrepreneur!
