Football: Wyoming, Oregon, and Tarleton State (with guests!)
It's that sweet smell of football in the air. Albie and Jeramey are in full preview mode, but this season we want to give you a lot of information in the shortest amount of time. In the span of 24 hours the Big 12 brought in Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah to round out the conference to 16 teams. What does that mean for the conference and the college football landscape? Albie and Jeramey get into the weeds.
Tortillas & Topics: Yormark Don't Want No Simps Pt. I
It's hot and heavy in the conference realignment talk. Albie and Jeramey talk Arizona's inevitable move to the Big 12, the war for the remaining Pac teams, and what it really means to be in this conference.
Tortillas & Topics: The New Big 12!
After Big 12 Media Days, there's a lot to like about the upcoming season. Albie and Jeramey discuss incoming programs, the TBT in Lubbock, and just how sweet it would be to get Texas one more time.

Summers are usually the dead period, but Lubbock has secured a bid to host a portion of the tournament at the United Supermarkets Arena. Albie and Jeramey preview the Air Raiders along with some of their opening competition.

Albie and Jeramey take a mid-summer pulse check of the Texas Tech Football and Men's Basketball programs. We're pressing play again and looking at the ending of the baseball and track seasons. After the ad break we peer into the football team and figure out what's setting this season apart, how optimistic should we be (and is that okay?), and wether or not Tyler Shough is a top three QB in the Big 12. Strap in.
Tortillas & Topics: they're runners, they're track stars, and Gainesville was not the move
Today Albie and Jeramey celebrate the Track & Field teams along with Ludvig Aberg for phenomenal showings this past week with some substantial accolades. As for the baseball team, however, could we have got placed in a more difficult regional?

Albie and Jeramey do a quick update on how Texas Tech Softball and Baseball are doing before moving towards the topic-at-hand: is Jaylon Tyson's transfer announcement spell legitimate criticism of Grant McCasland?
Texas Tech: 12 Years of Kirby Hocutt (pt. II)
Following last week's examination of Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt, we are excited to bring on Sportico's Daniel Libit for an exclusive interview regarding his work as an investigative journalist, his experience breaking the Stollings story, and what kind of morality can exist in the upper-echelon of college athletics.
Texas Tech: 12 Years of Kirby Hocutt (pt. I)
In what will probably be our most controversial episode, Albie and Jeramey decide to take on a topic that has been largely avoided: Kirby Hocutt. The Texas Tech Athletic Director since 2011, Hocutt has done an exceptional job at creating visible progress around various athletic programs. He has also navigated six head coaches leaving the University on the basis of student-athlete abuse (five since 2020). Why hasn't there been more scrutiny of his tenure? Does Texas Tech have some sort of risk-reward scale pertaining to his employment? We look at Hocutt's best and worst of the past 12 years.
Basketball: The Mc(Cash)land Era

Basketball: The Super Lady Raiders & An Impending MBB Hire
Albie and Jeramey take some time to reflect on Texas Tech basketball. The Lady Raiders have their best season since 2013 making it to the WNIT Super 16 but ultimately falling to Arkansas, while the men's program seemingly is waiting for the NIT to finish before hiring their new coach. What's in store for the future of Coach Gerlich and perhaps Coach McCasland? This episode has all that and some boxed wine to boot.
Basketball: Where the Postseason At?!

Basketball: Out of the Frying Pan, and Into the Fire
"The season from Hell" finally met its close at the hands of West Virginia in the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament, but that hasn't been the talk of the town for fans of Texas Tech. Mark Adams made some not-so-savory comments towards a student athlete and went from a suspension to downright stepping away from the head coaching role. Texas Tech is, once again, on the hunt for another head coach for its once illustrious basketball program. Albie and Jeramey break down the breakdown and talk through some of the names on the shortlist for the next HC.

With three games left in the regular season will the men have enough in the tank to secure a place in the Big Dance? Will the women do enough to get into the WNIT and prolong their season? That and more about avoiding Texas-like fandom on this episode!
Basketball: The Texas Tech Seesaw
In classic Texas Tech fashion, we cannot have two programs excel at the same time. The men's basketball team has been surging with three Top 25 wins in five games while the Lady Raiders have regressed with four losses in five games. Basketball: A WIN IN CONFERENCE!
Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty we are free at last! Well, at least from a zero win season in conference. The men's basketball team grits out a win in Baton Rouge against the lowly LSU team before handing Iowa State one hell of a stunner in Lubbock a few days later. Lady Raider basketball struggles to get a win against a good Oklahoma State team despite being tied with four minutes to go. Albie and Jeramey break down this week's action and look ahead to exciting matchups.
Basketball: There's no moral victories unless you suck, and buddy -
Albie and Jeramey take a look at a tough double loss by the Texas Tech basketball teams; a thumping at home by West Virginia for the men and a tough loss on the road for the women. Not all losses are the same and we are excited for the trajectory of the Lady Raiders - the men, however, are not as inspiring right now.
Basketball: Lady Raiders stack success, Red Raiders fall to 0-6
Audio issues resolved! Albie and Jeramey give high praise for Coach Gerlich and this Lady Raider team after a hard-fought win against a ranked Texas Longhorn squad in Lubbock. Bre Scott is HER (and who else on the team is an absolute bucket). On the other side, Mark Adams and the Red Raider basketball team continue to search for that elusive first win in conference after falling to Baylor. Though the road isn't getting any easier is there light at the end of the tunnel?
Basketball: Early Conference Play for both programs
The Big 12 is always a tough transition out of the non-conference schedule, but the men and women's programs have taken it in different strides. Albie and Jeramey fight the audio issues of our software and catch you up on the Texas Tech basketball scene in 2023.

Basketball: Women's non-conference & that new house rizz
Since losing to Jackson State, the Texas Tech women's team has been on a 10-game winning streak behind the leadership of Coach Gerlich. What sets this team apart from those from the past? A few days removed, but with more analytics in hand, Albie and Jeramey look at the win that propelled Texas Tech to a fourth place finish in the Big 12 after being predicted to finish ninth. Trailing in five important categories, the Red Raiders found an improbable way to win; furthering "The Brand" and making history in the process. Let's talk about it.
Football: Texas Tech v Iowa State Preview
Iowa State is 1-6 in conference, WHY are you afraid of this team! Well, Albie and Jeramey think there's a few good reasons to be. This Iowa State defense is one of the best in the Big 12, you're playing in Jack Trice Stadium when the high of the day is 29, and Iowa State is in a must-win situation to near bowl eligibility. Can Texas Tech pull off the road win in Ames for the first time since 2014? If they can - it'll be with the help of the Iowa State offense... which is butt.
Football: Texas Tech v Kansas Recap
Texas Tech had to fight off a tough Kansas team but was able to do it behind a resurgent Tyler Shough ACC some much needed turnovers. Albie and Dylan recap this game that has Tech only one win away from bowl eligibility.

Football: Texas Tech v TCU Recap
Texas Tech had to rely on a quarterback that was not planned to start to take the reigns and had the team in ripe position to win in the 2nd half, but questionable decisions and play led to a late game collapse by the Red Raiders. No I'm not talking about the Oklahoma State game, no I'm not talking about the Baylor game, instead this time I am talking about the TCU game from this past weekend. Albie & Dylan recap this game that resulted in another 4th quarter from Hell

Soccer & Volleyball: Ships Passing in the Night
In true Tortillas & Takes fashion, we ended up with the inverse of Jeramey and Kenzie's predictions for Texas Tech's soccer and volleyball programs. While soccer is on the eve of its biggest game of the eason, volleyball is looking to break a three-game losing streak and keep the hope of a top three finish alive. We went a whole episode and never said "take me home, country roads." Why? Because the only people going home are West Virginia with that L. Join Albie and Jeramey as they investigate just how powerful this bye week was in the Red Raiders' matchup with the Mountaineers.
Soccer: Texas Tech is blazing a trail to the NCAA Tournament
While Jeramey and Kenzie were down on the soccer program after a troublesome west coast trip, Coach Stone remained vigilant. The Texas Tech team has gone on a four-game winning streak in conference to set themselves up nicely on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament. Wins against Baylor and certainly TCU would cement their bid and maybe even result in a second place finish in the Big 12.
