So here is the rest of the conversation with Bitcoin Zay. This is a special episode for a few reasons. In this episode, I talk with Isaiah Jackson AKA Bitcoin Zay. Zay is half of the dynamic duo of The Gentlemen of Cryptos. You can find them on Youtube and iTunes.

This is Zay’s second time on the podcast, making him my first repeat guest. Thanks again for coming one the podcast. It was great timing to semi-relaunching of the podcast with Zay's new book Bitcoin and Black America. As I've said in my social media, going forward I will be promoting more blacks in the crypto space and black in tech. Yes, we’re coming out kicking, lol.

In the second, half we talk about how people generally get involved in cryptos because of price but then stay for the tech. And how once you really get things like Bitcoin, it changes how you understand money. Not to mention the career opportunists you see opening up the more the technology in integrated into society.

Last thing G&Gs, I don't usually put my name behind or push anything. Even sponsored products or services get a limited mention. Especially when it comes to the podcast. But this book is something I think everyone needs to read. But black american needs to read and understand what is coming down the pike. So here it is finally a new EP. Yes, it has been a while. This is a special episode for a few reasons. In this episode, I talk with Isaiah Jackson AKA Bitcoin Zay. Zay is half of the dynamic duo of The Gentlemen of Cryptos. You can find them on Youtube and iTunes.

This is Zay’s second time on the podcast, making him my first repeat guest. I’m honored that he agreed to come on. But more importantly, I’m using this episode as a new semi-relaunching of the podcast that coincides with Zay’s new book Bitcoin and Black America. I’m excited about this episode because it meets of my new goals in promoting blacks in the crypto space and black in tech. Yes, we’re coming out kicking, lol.

We talk about his reasons for writing the book. And how he hopes it helps Black American understand and take advantage of the opportunities blockchain technology and Bitcoin present. We also talk about how far the crypto community has come and the multitude of access point people have to become involved in the space.

Last thing G&Gs, this is part I of a two-part conversation as I rambled on for a while, lol. I know, I’m still working on it. But Zay does make jokes and gives a tidbit or two that’s not directly written in the book.

So in this EP, I talk with Dr Tiffany Gray. I meet her when I co-organized a panel on diversity and inclusion in the crypto space. She was one of the panelists. I didn't get to talk with her much then but paid attention to her social media postings. I was interested to hear more about her thoughts are on how blockchain could help the medical/healthcare industry. She definitely has some ideas on how this disruptive technology could be applied. But she also voices concern about what it means to just dump people's personal medical data into their laps of people without providing them the education on what it means to maintain positive control, managing it, or monetizing it.

As you will hear, she shares how she came into the space and what she understands about integrating blockchain into her field of expertise. Namely, that you have to ask the tough questions on how will this be practically implemented and what effect will it have on the bigger society? Dr Gray where's a number of hats and this positions her in the key to be asked questions and give the big wigs real answers.

So in this EP, I talk with Chika Ota. We get into how she got into here current job in the crypto space which allows her to travel the world.  And that's what allowed me to met her in Chile last year.  Chika's journey into the crypto space highlights that pass careers or where you came from doesn't stop you from entering into the space.  I'm always amazed as to how many people still think you have to be a techie person to get in. I tell people all the time, there are so many options for what you can do. It's just a matter of figuring out what works for you.

As you'll hear we talk about more than just here intro story. Chika brings up a point about something I've noticed more since talking with more people out side the US. Make sure to explain your blockchain and crypto projects in  more than English. It matters more than people think, seriously. And don't forget the culture of the market you looking to enter matters.

In this ep, I get to talk with Silvana Lopez. I met her in Santiago Chile in 2018 at LaBitConf. A lawyer by trade who then went to MIT and co-founded a tech company that deals with hackathons and using them to find solutions to help real communities. Silvana's journey isn't  all about crypto or blockchain, but as I say G&Gs it's going to take all types for use to reach mass adoption. 

We talk about her running a hackathon with IBM in Peru and looking at how implementations of any solution isn't just about dropping the project in the hands of the community and then walking away. You have to then measure the effects of the solution and how it's being used at the ground level.  With more technology our ability to connect is continual growing and online hackathons are being coming more and more popular; Silvana sees this and gets into what made her do the company.  We talk about about this and a bunch of other things as usual.

So in this EP, I talk with Amber Scott. If your doing anything blockchain related and operating out of Canada. Amber is a most know on you consulting list. Compliance is her day job but understanding and loving technology is part of what drives her in the ever evolving cryptos space. I met Amber early 2018 in Texas at a conference and was really in aw of her knowledge and lover for the space though according to some we shouldn't get along be cause of her day.  It could be further from the reality.  She is someone I really glad to have met.

As you hear in the conversation. I use framing questions which was because I didn't have the Conversations With segment at the time. But as you hear, we went beyond the questions. I wish I could've talk with her longer. She hsa some really interesting stories and make great points about how things are developing the space.

So in this EP, I talk with the Angel Johnson. I heard her speak on a panel held by Technical.ly during Baltimore's Tech Week. Once I heard her mention cryptos, I had to have her on the podcast. And she was nice enough to agree to coming on.  So here we are sharing her story about what made her get into in the space. Angel is the perfect example of how even people with a technical background can come into the space and still start from the same level as nurse or mechanic. .

Angel makes a great point about all of us being on this journey of cryptos together.  It isn't about what you do or your age. I think she right to be excite about what the future holds for the space. I know I am!

So in this EP, I talk with the Mike Salvi. He is the first crypto comedian I had the pleasure of meeting through Nathan Hauk (Nat knows very interesting people.) The Philly native understands blockchain and cryptos. But more importantly, he knows how to make it funny. To the point, that he was able to do last minute open mic act for Fuffly Pony (if you don't know who that is Presearch Monero) in Vegas last year.

As you heard in the snippet mike talks about getting on the train early for this nitch. To be clear he's not the only comedian working on making a name for themselves in the space. In the beginning, he did shy away from the title of Crypto Comedian. But eventually he did embrace the label and he's glad to be one of the early ones in the space.

As you listen, we talk about more than just making jokes. We talk about what were the pros of the bear market, a interesting town call Portsmouth New Hampshire, and OG Derrick R Freemon. And as always Mike doesn't disappoint in in conversation. He made me lol and think at the same time.

So in this EP, I talk with Dr. Richard Molock.  I co-organized a panel on diversity and inclusion in the crypto space at  Bowie State. And had the chance to met Richard. He made some very insightful points about how even in America there are issues with locations being a barrier to entry into cryptos. We kept in contact and he was interested in sharing his story.

We talk about some of the basic things to remember and how this new technology is creating new jobs and opportunities and people can take advantage of. For towns who relied heavily on production plants, those days of lifetime work are long gone. The older and new generation need to understand what blockchain technology can mean for their future.  If you want to get into the space but have been scared to cross the line. I hope this EP motivates you to make that next move. It's not as hard as you think.

TC2C: Daily Talk

The episode is broken into 2 segments. The first part is called Daily Talk and last about 10 or less. I basically cover what I'm going through in transitioning my career path from fiat to crypto-based work. There good, bad, and ugly. I try and cover what it's really like living in space from my personal experiences and observations. The recordings start from November 2017. There's a lot to cover.

For this EP, I'm talking about what I was going through in learning more about my short coming. It was kind of a rough week. I've said it on Instagram and Twitter. If you go through a whole year working to be a entrepreneur and don't learn anything new about yourself. You weren't trying hard enough. This was just the beginning of me really understanding how much I really wanted to be in the crypto space at this level.

TC2C: Everyday People

The second segment Everyday People is the actual interview or as I like to say conversation. They can last from 20 to 60 plus mins. I use framing questions but the time varies based on the person. I don't do price talk or politics. And there is no blatant shilling of products or services. However, in the end, I do however ask the guest what is a blockchain based product or service they would tell someone else about. So that's pretty much it. The point of this segment is to share the story of everyday people who are at the ground level and forefront of the crypto space working to help educate and empower people about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.  

For this segment, I get to talk with Crypto Wendy O. Her story of how she got into the space and totally changed her career path is really amazing. And it goes to show you don't have to be  a techie geek or lots of money to make it in the space. You just have to put in the work to learn what part of the space works for you. This ep was recorded last year but what she says is 100% relevant in 2019. If you aren't  on the grind to learn and improve your self during this bear market. Your setting yourself up to be left behind when everything really started. This applies to individuals and companies.

I'm a true believer that in order for mass adoption to happen we have to include people from all walks of life. I want to share those stories to show that anyone can be involved in blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

In this Daily Talk I was trying a new format of doing a weekly rap up. I was doing a lot of running around then and trying to do a daily videos was taxing. And sometimes I would be a day or two behind. At the time I was talking about Meetups, GBA, and a Morgan crypto event I went to. I've since then switched back to doing something on a more daily time frame.

For the Everyday People segment I talk with ACU5BTC aka Taylor. He shares history about the first and last time he used a carpool and how it led to him learning about cryptos and blockchain. The story isn't what you think. He is a graduate of Google University when if comes to cryptos and makes no qualms about. We talk 2D to 3D holographic microchips and more. So take a listen and you see why I wanted to have him on.

So for the 1st segment (the Daily Talk), I talk about my last day at work. Yes, I finally made it to that day. As you hear I was really upbeat and positive about leaving and crossing over into the crypto space. Little did I know what the year would have in store me,

Nonetheless I still look back on this day as a good day and a great turning point in my life. I have learned much since then and meet  some really interesting people.

In the 2nd segment, I talk with Evander Smart. He's a former crypto writer who now focuses on educating people about blockchain and Bitcoin. In this segment we talk about Cyprus, banking, bail-in, and what he's working on.

So for the Daily Talk, I was going on about finally getting to page 100 in the Ethereum book by Henning Diedrich. I know some of you will listen and be like what the hell? But I included it to show the real of where I was in gaining more knowledge and what I understood back then compared to where I am now on things.

When you listen to enough of the DTs you see what I'm talking about with me expanding my view point and my understanding of the technical side of the space. All in all it was still a good book to read, granted X amount of things happened since its  publishing to make it dated.

My guest for the second half was Tiffany Warren. She was actually in Mexico and the time of recording. We actually talked for longer than the recording. We talked about many different aspects of the space, education, empowering people, and humanity.

I hope some hears something to get inspired and starts talking action to learn more about this technological and cultural shift that is taking place. Remember it takes all times to help achieve mass adoption.

So this Daily Talk was about me not getting the position I applied for with Exodus. Even though I didn't get it, I learned what I could from the experience and found lessons that apply to going after any kind of job. Hopefully it helps someone out there trying to get into the crypto space of just looking for a better job.
