Jeannette DePalma was an American teenager who is believed to have been murdered on August 7, 1972 in New Jersey, United States.
The case, currently unsolved, has become a matter of significant controversy due in part to coverage in Weird NJ magazine and in the 2015 book Death on the Devil's Teeth.

In April 1986, Struebing was accused of killing his adoptive mother with a hatchet and scissors while on drugs. He claimed that he thought he was a robot. He wanted to open up his mother to see if she was a robot also. He was charged with second-degree murder and was sentenced to twelve years in prison.

In 1982, the historic Kansas City neighborhood of Westport was home to the Westport Flea Market, where you could find, all sorts of interesting items… And in The Westport Flea Market was a curious little shop, called Bob’s Bazaar Bizarre. This shop sold oddities from around the world – unique primitive art, collectibles, jewelry, skulls, strange antiques…and so much more. Who owned it? An eccentric and flamboyant guy named Bob… Bob Berdella, to be exact….but Bob would soon earn himself a different name…

This is True Crime IRL. I’m Kelli Berens-Brink and THIS is the story of Bob Berdella…The Kansas City Butcher.

In June of 2014, The Broaddus Family closed on what they thought was going to be their dream home – on 657 Boulevard in Westfield, New Jersey. Their excitement would continue to grow, day by day, as they painted the rooms, remodeled, and made the space their own before their official move in day.

Their opinion of the house, though, and the neighborhood, would soon change – and their excitement would quickly turn to fear when they began to receive ominous, threatening, letters from an anonymous stranger known only as – The Watcher.

Who killed Karen?

The body of Karen Bodine – a  37-year-old mother of three - was found the morning of Jan. 22, 2007. Her nude body was dumped on a busy road near a gravel pit, and detectives say her body had been posed by her killer.

The weekend before her murder, she had been hanging out with an unsavory group of friends… could one of them have killed her?

Police are confident that more than one person is responsible for Karen Bodine’s murder, and that it is likely someone she knew.

So WHO killed Karen?

Well - An unknown male’s DNA was recovered from a ligature found around Karen’s neck, and there were two tire tracks at the location where Bodine's body was recovered. As we’ve seen in other cases in recent years, where there’s DNA…there will VERY likely be an arrest one day.

Until that day comes -- anyone with information about Karen Bodine's death, as well as the days leading up to it, is asked to call the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office 360-786-5500.

THIS is the story of The Death House of Greenwich Village.

There’s a beautiful Brownstone brick home that blends in with all the others on West 10th Street in Greenwich Village… but the history that’s taken place inside its walls is anything BUT beautiful.

22 people have died in the home, referred to as the House of Death – and a few of its tenants are said to still reside there in the afterlife.

Several well-known names have dwelled at this residence – including, Mark Twain, who is said to still haunt the building.

Some pretty horrific things have happened here, including – Famous former attorney Joel Steinberg beat his partner Hedda Nussbaum’s six-year-old daughter to death in the house. Steinberg was convicted of first-degree manslaughter but was out on parole in 2004.

Besides this tragic death, the house was the site of numerous suicides and other tragic and mysterious deaths.

Mollie Tibbetts, who went missing in the Summer of 2018 and was found murdered weeks later, is finally getting the justice she deserves.

At the time of this podcast release, her killer, Christian Bahena Rivera, a 26-year-old undocumented immigrant from Mexico, has been found guilty by an Iowa jury of first-degree murder for allegedly killing Tibbetts, 20, and hiding her body in a cornfield in the rural city of Brooklyn, Iowa, in July 2018.
