Jeff and John talk all things hot stove as Jeff prepares to head to the winter meetings. Rangers haven't made any significant moves yet, so the guys discuss what could happen.

They also talk to Rangers RHP Luke Savage who attended TCU and was in the College World Series last season. He is also a local product who has a charity Called "Blessed Feet" that provides baseball equipment to under privileged kids in Latin America and around the United States.

The Rangers Today Baseball Podcast has reached episode #100. Jeff and John reflect back on how it all started in front of the Rangers dugout in 2021 and ended with a World Championship.

The guys welcome Texas Rangers outfielder Travis Jankowski to the show. First they talk about the sweep of Toronto and how the Rangers are on the right track to make a run to the playoffs. Travis talks about his college days, his 21 touchdowns as a WR and how he almost attended UConn to play football.

They guys also go down in the bus leagues to talk about all things minor leagues.

Before Jeff and John bring on one of the fastest rising prospects in the Rangers system Aidan Curry. They talk about the collapse at the big league level of the Rangers and the horrible Houston series.

Then they welcome Curry. The right handed pitcher is turning heads in the front office. Part of the 2020 COVID free agent class, he signed with the Rangers instead of heading to college. Interesting story.

The guys are joined by Texas Rangers TV play by play Dave Raymond. They discuss the recent Rangers skid and where the team goes from here. They also discuss how is elderberries did and critters around the house.

As always Jeff and John discuss all thing minor leagues.

Jeff and John welcome the Rangers #1 pick in the 2023 draft and second ranked prospect Wyatt Langford. They discuss the draft, pro ball, his favorite food and upcoming marriage. Langford has started off hot and brings the heat to the show.

They guys also talk about the big league team and go "Down in the Bus Leagues".

They also talk about the big league team and a potential Ohtani trade or other potential fits.

Jeff and John welcome Texas Rangers Senior Director of Amateur Scouting Kip Fang to the show. Kip comes on after the draft and talks about some of the guys the Rangers took and of course 1st round pick Wyatt Langford.

Jeff and John welcome Texas Rangers prospect Davis Wendzel to the show. But before they get into his season, upcoming child and what he changed to be so good,...they talk about Jacob deGrom, the big league club and where they go from here. LOT'S of news to talk about and also a power hitting third baseman at AAA. Enjoy!!!

The guys welcome the newest Texas Ranger Grant Anderson. Anderson made his major league debut in Detroit, striking out 7 of 9 batters faced. Grant is a Texas kid who grew up in the Beaumont area. He has twin brother who pitches in the Rangers minor league system. Grant talks about getting the call to the big leagues and how he found out he was drafted and traded. All fun stuff.

Texas Rangers RHP Owen White joins the guys to discuss his season so far. He also discusses who he would have with him in a back alley fight. (It might surprise you) Great episode and we finally have someone willing to pull a prank.

Back from the IL, Texas Rangers outfield prospect Aaron Zavala joins the guys to discuss his rehab and how it feels to be back on the field. He also dishes on his teammates and who he wants with him in a back alley fight. Great to seem him healthy again and back at it.

The guys welcome the hottest minor league pitcher Cody Bradford. Bradford is in AAA and hasn't lost a game yet and his ERA is below 1. They talked about what he is doing that has made him successful. They also get into his teammates and which ones are best dressed, funniest and toughest. Another good one.

Stand up comedian and baseball fan Josh Sneed, joins the boys to talk Rangers vs Reds and crop dusting celebrities It is a great take on getting into comedy and growing up a baseball fan. Lots of fun and incredibly interesting. If you don't know how Josh is, just search his name on your favorite search engine. Go to his Youtube watch his comedy. FUNNY!!!!!!

Because of a last minute conflict that cancelled the scheduled guest, Jeff and John get to business with the big leagues and bus leagues and bus leagues on their own. Not quite as long of an episode, but they get to it on Evan Carter talk and the Cory Seager injury. Lots of fun with no guest.

Texas Rangers prospect Dustin Harris joins the guys again. He is healthy and happy and hitting doubles and triples again. They talked about his off-season and what he hopes to accomplish this season. They also talked about In-N-Out vs Whataburger. (Have to listen to see who he chooses)

Texas Rangers RHP Dane Acker joins the guys from spring training is Surprise AZ. They talk about where is and where he hopes to be this year. He also talks about who he wants next to him in a back alley fight and the funniest teammate. Lots of fun with Dane.

With John in studio, Jeff was out in Arizona at spring training. Rangers top pitching prospect Jack Leiter joined the guys to talk about his off season and the upcoming season. The guys talked about what Jeff has seen so far in spring training and they also go down in the bus leagues.

Jeff and John welcome Texas Rangers HOF and special assistant to GM Chris Young, Ian Kinsler. Kinsler talks about his new job and his time with the Rangers. They play the HR game and he tells them something nobody knows about him. Once again, the Rangers Today Baseball Podcast has on a great guest. 

Jeff and John welcome Hannah Huesman, the mental performance coordinator for the Texas Rangers. She talks about her job and what is involved with it. She also talks about what got her into this work. She was an athlete in college and is married to a college football coach. What a fun episode getting to know the girl behind the team, helping them get mentally prepared for the season. 

The guys welcome back Rangers pitcher TK Roby for a second time to the show. He attended Rangers University which a new thing the Rangers are doing with Abilene Christian University. He also talks about his off-season and getting ready to head out to Arizona. This is also the first time the Rangers made space available at Globe Life Field to do the interview. 

Jeff and John welcome back Texas Rangers first base prospect Blaine Crim to the show. He was in Puerto Rico playing winter ball again. Blaine talks about his off-season move to Arizona and then going to Puerto Rico for the winter baseball playoffs. Jeff and John also talk about the who they think is the face of the franchise now. 

Jeff and John welcome Rangers catching coordinator Bobby Wilson to the show. He talks about being handy and the current status of the catching position with the big league club. John first talks about the trade he put together with a fellow podcaster for the Pittsburg Pirates involving Bryan Reynolds. 

Jeff and John welcome the newest addition to the Texas Rangers rotation Nathan Eovaldi. First they talk the big league stuff along and end it by going "Down In The Bus Leagues". The guys welcome RHP Brock Porter to the show. He was the best high school arm in the 2022 draft who fell to the Rangers in the 4th round. He throws 100 MPH and has a changeup he has thrown since he was fresh out of T-ball. This was a first round pick who fell into the Rangers lap. Hear him talk about how he thought his draft was over until the Rangers came calling. One of, if not the best arm in the 2022 draft. Listen as Brock Porter talks about the biggest controversy surrounding Texas Rangers players.........Whataburger vs In-and-Out. Fun times. 

Jeff and John welcome Jared Sandler from the Texas Rangers radio broadcast. They discuss the current off-season and state of the team. They also discuss Jared's charity event coming up, "Swinging For A Cause". It is December 11 at Top Golf with a concert by "Bowling For Soup".

Before Ross, the guys discuss the search for a pitching coach and where Martin Perez negotiations are. 

Jeff and John welcome new Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy. He talks about the 7 hour meeting with Rangers GM Chris Young and Owner Ray Davis. They talk about what made the decision appealing for Bochy. The guys also went "Down In The Bus Leagues" to discuss the minor league system.

Texas Rangers have hired a new manager Bruce Bochy. Jeff and John discuss the announcement of the new manager for the Texas Rangers and then talk with Rangers catching prospect Cody Freeman who is playing in the Arizona Fall League. BIG NEWS!!! Great guest!!!

Jeff and John welcome Texas Rangers minor league infielder Thomas Saggese to the show. Recently promoted to AA he talks about the playoffs and growing up in California. The guys also talk about the big league club and Josh Jung's first two weeks in the big leagues. They also go down in the bus leagues to discuss the Roughriders playoff push. 

Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline joins the guys. This episode goes deeper into the Rangers minor league system and talks about the top performers and biggest climbers. Jim talk about his job and how he got into covering minor league baseball out of college. Jeff and John also talk about Josh Jung's first week in the big leagues. This episode goes and little longer than usual, but there was just too much stuff to talk about.
