In this episode, we discuss Black widowhood, the perception of the value of Black art, and where/how to purchase art. After the passing of her husband Natiq Jalil, I became the CEO of the Coloured Section Arts Collective, which was started by Natiq to honor his mentor, the late George Gist, and to provide a means for Black artists to always have work. Their Collective features artists of multiple practices such as visual, performance, and culinary arts.
