What is the DUTCH?
The DUTCH test is a dried, urine hormone test that can be used by clients to assess for common sex and stress hormones imbalances. This test goes beyond serum testing and takes into consideration hormone metabolites (breakdown products of these hormones) as well as assesses both free and metabolized cortisol and the cortisol awakening response, allowing for a deeper understanding of one’s HPA axis function. The DUTCH allows for functional medicine practitioners and dietitians to highly individualize diet and lifestyle recommendations.
