In the book of Acts, Luke describes the incredible story of the explosion and expansion of the early Church. The apostles are accused of 'filling the city of Jerusalem with the teaching of Jesus' and 'day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news'. Empowered by the Spirit, this small group of disciples turned a city upside down and began a movement leading to church after church being planted across region and beyond. Pioneering and church planting is at the core of our DNA as movement, training and planting new churches every year to turn villages, towns, and cities upside down with the God news of Jesus. Mike continues the multiplication conversation.

Throughout history, generations have been marked and transformed by men and women who are possessed by a simple willingness to say yes to the things of God. At DTI 2022, Mike Pilavachi spoke on 2 Corinthians 12 and shared that our weakness does not discount us from being used for the Kingdom. He reminded a generation not to wait until everything seems ‘sorted’; that God uses us in our brokenness because he wants us to learn to rely on his strength when we feel weak.

At DTI 2022 Laura Hancock looked at God’s goodness; yesterday, God was good, today, God is good, and tomorrow God will be good. She reminded us that even when the world around us doesn’t feel good, God promises to weave his goodness through it all.

At DTI 2022 Lara Sokunbi explored how we can be a generation that stands firm. Speaking from Matthew 7, she unpacked what it looks like to build our houses on the rock and be pillars of hope in the midst of the chaos that surrounds us.

Rich & Lydia Dicas are UK-based worship leaders and songwriters whose hearts burn to see God’s love transform people wherever they go. In this seminar Rich explores what it looks like to write in and for the local church, and how you can cultivate a songwriting culture where you are.

Dr. Lucy Peppiatt (Principal of WTC) explores the language we use about Jesus, how we sing about him and to him, and how that speaks to us of the nature of God. Revelation 7 verse 9 tell us of " ..a great multitude that no one could count, from every tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb". God created us different and he saw it as good. George Floyd's murder bought into focus the stark reality of racism and how it impacts on the daily lives of black people within our church family and the wider communities we serve. To change this narrative we need to have an understanding of God's perspective , that can only lead to a continuing heart journey of challenge and change.

In Christendom, Spiritual Formation is the lifelong process of being conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others. Hear about this innovative approach that is simple and easy to run within your churches, whilst exploring the increase of addictions and habits that are growing rapidly within the UK, especially since the pandemic. STAR's aim is to help churches grow in confidence, knowledge & collaboration in a ministry that is often messy, painful and misunderstood. In 2018, Hannah stood up during a session at our NLC in response to a call of church planting on her life. The room didn't know her story then. But four years later, in 2022, she was able to share her story of planting as a single woman from the main stage of our Vineyard Leaders' Gathering.

In this talk, John Wright reflects on some of the journey we've been on as a movement, and shares where God is leading us as we seek to continue to develop high calibre leaders across the Vineyard. We also hear from Chuck Freeland as he announces the launch of the Vineyard Ministry Pathway; a five step pathway designed to help every leader in the Vineyard pursue their calling to ministry.

We sense this is a significant moment for students of the Vineyard. Out of a season of trial and discomfort, hope always emerges. There is a marking on this generation to step into the story of God at University, and see the Kingdom of God released in remarkable ways.

This is a moment to say yes again to the radical call of life with Jesus for the sake of students. Don’t settle for less than His call and His cause. Don’t settle for the comfortable, and don’t be content with compromise.This is your time. This is your turn. Let’s go students!

In this seminar, recorded at The Cause to Live For 2021, Jamie & Kath look at the place of our ‘work’ within the wider Kingdom story, sharing personal experiences of making big decisions and unpacking some core questions that can serve as a practical guide for us in these moments.

Jamie and Kath are the lead pastors of Herald Vineyard Liverpool, a recent church plant in Liverpool city centre. Between them they have relocated city five times, taken three jobs, quit three jobs, changed career twice and self-funded their way through three years of theological study. They now spend most of their time pastoring people in their twenties.

Christianity in the UK today is faced with growing cultural and religious diversity. Christian migrants bring with them new ways of doing theology, new styles of worship and new expressions of the faith.

In this wide-ranging interview Harvey Kwiyani, Naomi Woodcock & Josh Turner covered the topics that the Cause generation are pressing into, including race, church planting, singleness, compassion and ultimately being sold out for Jesus.  This inspiring, moving and profound interview was recored at Cause 2021.

"The Kingdom of Heaven often starts small and insignificant, hidden and unimpressive, and could often be overlooked. But it's seeds and yeast; it always grows."

On the Friday night of The Cause to Live For 2021 Adam Russell shared about the mystery of God's Kingdom and the slow work of God. He encouraged a generation to not lose heart and keep pressing into all that God has for them.

"In Jesus we find an unshakeable hope that truly is an anchor for our souls, that is more than capable of holding our hearts in perfect peace no matter what life throws at us."

Steph Lowe closed The Cause to Live For 2021 by sharing how Jesus is our present hope, our certain hope and our future hope.

As we look to the next leg of our race, they encouraged us to take our place, putting our hope in Jesus and having confidence that he will give us the strength that we need in order to advance his Kingdom.

"We all want to see God do something remarkable and beautiful in the world, but what if that must first be preceded by God doing something remarkable and beautiful in our own hearts?"

On the second evening of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, Chuck unpacked three desires that he believes Jesus wants to place into our hearts; a longing to be with him, a hunger to obey him, and a desperation for our world to encounter him. He urges us to look up and see that we are in a moment of opportunity where the harvest is ripe and must be gathered in right now.

"We need to lean into the spirit of God and ask him to drop the scales from our eyes. It may feel like a valley before we reach the mountain top."

To open up day two of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, Debby Wright interviewed Jo Saxton. Sharing from some of her own story, Jo talked about issues of race, gender, burnout and the importance of having a good community.

"Your call is not to succeed, it's to try. Faith is trying."

On day two of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, Jordan Seng spoke on 'the life of try'. He encouraged us that if we want to see the Kingdom come on earth then we must build a culture of trying in our churches; we must step out even at the risk of failing.

"We are not called to make converts, church members, or 'good, pure, Vineyard Christians'. We are called to make apprentices of Jesus; people who intensely and passionately pursue Christlikeness to become just like the King in his Kingdom."

Speaking on The Great Commission found in Matthew 28, Alexander urged us - during this pandemic - to stop and renew our sense of vision and commission that Jesus has given us as his followers. That we must see him rightly, worship and adore him, be baptised in his spirit and go and make apprentices of the King, in his Kingdom.

On the final morning of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, Jo Saxton addressed those who are experiencing, or feel on the verge of, burnout. Using the story of how God attended to Elijah, she reminds us that God cares for our physical, mental and relational needs, and encourages us that we cannot and should not do this journey alone.

"It's time, perhaps as never before in any of our lifetimes, to ascend the hill of the Lord. It is time to climb."

On the first night of the Vineyard National Gathering 2021, Pete Greig encouraged us that this time we find ourselves in is ‘a time to climb’. A time to fix our eyes on Jesus, to find higher ground, and to find his perspective.

Katie Wilson (Children's Pastor at Belfast City Vineyard) talks about how we can raise our kids to have a faith that will last, so that they never have to live a day apart from Jesus. She highlights the importance of praying for our little ones from the day they are born, and shares wisdom on how to encourage them to operate in the Kingdom all the days of their lives.

Are we all entrepreneurs? Mark shares how we can easily create barriers for ourselves as we don't look like the "typical" entrepreneur, but reminds us that we have all been made in the image of the number one entrepreneur, God. To step into entrepreneurialism we must first recognise that we are image-bearers of God and then steward what he's put in our hands to see our ideas come to pass.

Many of us want to obey the command of Jesus to set the captives free but feel ill-equipped. Apart from the teaching, we will have plenty of time to

practise in a relaxed setting, allowing the Holy Spirit to minister through us to bring inner healing to past hurts. If you are a beginner or used to ministering to others then come along and be expectant of the Holy Spirit working through you.

Jeannie is passionate about setting the captives free and enabling others to do likewise. She has been part of Soul Survivor Church team since it began. For many years she has been involved in teaching and equipping others in healing ministry in the UK and around the globe, and has been a regular speaker at the Soul Survivor Festivals. Jeannie has written several books the latest being Our Hands His Healing.

Andy McCullough is involved in cross-cultural church planting in the Middle East, as part of the Catalyst Network of Newfrontiers. He is the author of Global Humility: Attitudes for Mission and has a Master’s Degree in Contextual Theology and Mission. He has a high commitment to church planting to reach the unreached using local language, contextualising the gospel, and training local leaders.

Working out how to reach and disciple the millennial generation is perhaps one of the most pressing challenges facing us today. Less than 7% of young adults go to church and 65% of them have never heard the gospel. Whereas we used to be seen as a missionary sending country Britain is now seen as a key mission field by other countries. This session will look at why young adults are struggling to find, keep and share their faith before opening a discussion on intentional discipleship to help them step into their calling as Disciples to their own generation.

Jess Regnart is ‘Director of Every Generation’ for Freedom in Christ Ministries. She co-wrote and co-presented ‘Disciple’ their discipleship course for 18-30’s. She is a sought-after speaker who travels extensively equipping church leaders to engage with the modern challenges of discipleship. She has a real passion to see every Christian get free from the shackles that hold them back so they can step into their personal mandate from God as Disciples that impact the communities around them.

This seminar will combine insight from research about the development of the teenage brain with practical wisdom around common challenges and biblical perspectives to inform and enthuse anyone working or living with teenagers.

Kate is a psychologist with a particular interest in emotional health in the face of adverse circumstances and helping people reach their full potential. She's a Director of the Mind and Soul Foundation, Assistant pastor at Zeo church, Hertfordshire, and also a speaker and author of several books including ‘Refuel, how to balance work, life, faith and church’. Kate spends a lot of time explaining that she isn't married to Prince William but enjoys reading about her good dress sense in the newspapers.

How do we start a youth ministry from scratch? Barna research has shown that 2/3 of people become Christians before the age of 18. So are we reaping from a harvest field that is ripe or are we missing our chance? We believe that if we don't empower and invest in the next generation the church will diminish its fire. Come and hear insights, lessons and stories from Dave and Rachel Kemp (Cardiff Vineyard) and Andrew Yule (Falkirk Vineyard) as well as from Zeke Rink (DTI and Youth Network) who share first hand of Experiences from the ground and how they started various youth ministries and projects from scratch.

Growing a small group community across a local church has always been a challenge for church leaders. Sustaining their growth, refreshing them in line with a church’s vision, while supporting the spiritual life of its leaders and members can sometimes feel an uphill task.  Yet our small groups are often regarded as the heartbeat of the church where its members thrive in their relationship with God and each other. This seminar shares from several case studies, how several churches around our movement are releasing more small group leaders and about multiplying the number of small groups.

The overwhelming tide of Western culture is toward hurry, busyness, distraction, anxiety, and exhaustion.  You can’t “dabble” in hurry, you

have to wage a kind of war against the “spirit of the age.” We’re facing an odd confluence of digital capitalism, secular assumptions, human vulnerability, and spiritual temptation that leads us away from the Psalm 23 kind of life in the Kingdom to one of hurry and overload. The solution to being fully present to God, others, and our own hearts is found simply by following the unhurried way of Jesus. “Jesus invites all of us to take up the ‘easy’ yoke. He has—on offer to all—an easy way to shoulder the weight of life with his triumvirate of love, joy, and peace."
