Tristan and Jeff go over the BS Homework game Deathstate which is a roguelike bullet hell "single stick" shooter with tons of style! Tristan talks about his game meetup he had at his house and a classic SNES game that he actually played for the first time ever.

They go over the new OLED Steam Deck that was announced and why Jeff might not be interested in the upgrade! All this plus they talk about the Atari 2600+ system and licensed reproductions being made for games already released at retail.

On this episode Tristan and Jeff go into their first BS Homework Roulette game, ZenoHell. This game is a vertically scrolling shoot'em up that is hell bent on killing you as quickly as possible. Interestingly enough Jeff and Tristan both had vastly different experiences with the game!

They also go over the Nintendo Direct featuring Super Mario Wonde, the Atari 2600 Plus console launch and maybe even spoiling a little of the upcoming Premium Edition Fall Direct and NEStember releases.

On this episode we cover the Castlevania-Inspired Gal Guardians: Demon Purge on the Nintendo Switch. We go over our experiences with it and decide if it is more of a "Metroidvania" or is it old school Castlevania? We also talk about our favorite Party Game stories throughout the years from N64 Mario Party injuries to Drunk Wii Bowling and even some Guitar Hero for good measure. 

We also go over a few other games we have been playing such as RPG Time, Metroid II: Return of Samus, and a couple of Indie treats that Jeff found on Steam. This week we covered the finale for The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom! Are we finished with it or will we keep grinding away after beating it

Tristan and Jeff go over their third week playing The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. They are making tons of progress, cover the latest regarding duplication glitches, and even found some kind of a mech suit. There will be some spoilers here but not much regarding the story. 

Jeff and Tristan go deeper into the Depths of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom talking about our last week with this amazing game! While we are going to avoid story spoilers and major plot points, we are going to go into details on stories and spots of interest. Coffin and Jeff go over their Top Five Legend of Zelda Games! What games did they pick and are your favorites among them?

This week we talk about our video game set ups and how we play older games. This includes how we played things within the past 5 years with Framemeisters, Everdrives, and High Definition displays and the evolution of modern technology and how that has changed recently with the Steam Deck, Analogue Pocket, and PolyMega. Tristan, Jeff, and Coffin talk about how they each collect and whether it is important to have versions of games that are important from a historical perspective or if they prefer whatever version they personally played. Jeffrey gets together with Adam and Jav from Second Dimension to talk about The Curse of Illmoore Bay, a new and original 16 bit game heavily inspired by Saturday morning cartoons from the 90s fueled by a deep love for the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Console.

This game is a horizontal scrolling action platformer that will take you through six different levels each with it's own monsters and bosses, with tons of items to collect and powerful abilities to acquire. Check out what they had to say!

For our fourth annual VGBS Live Panel at Midwest Gaming Classic, we are talking about collecting for the Nintendo Switch and this time we aren't alone!

Joining us is Sarumaru aka D.J. Medina of FX Unit Yuki fame who is a huge Japanese gaming fan who also collects for the Switch. We also have the super knowledgeable Jonathan Polan aka JPSwitchmania who is one of the biggest Nintendo Switch collectors in the world!
