Tracy, our illuminated guide, has a unique gift: she peers into the hearts of women, illuminating the paths to clarity and purpose. In our captivating interview, Tracy shared her profound insights on navigating the labyrinth of self-awareness and how it translates into tangible success.
🌿 **Rediscovering Self: The Blueprint for Triumph** 🌿
As we explored the tapestry of Tracy's wisdom, one truth resonated deeply: success blooms from the soil of self-remembrance. Tracy's mission is clear - to help women return to the core of who they are, creating a sturdy foundation for their flourishing businesses and lives.
💬 "Centering on myself, curating a life that nurtures every facet of my being - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual - has been the key," Tracy affirmed when we discussed midlife and its transformative potential.

Trailer - Our Healthcare System's Furture - Is it working or is it time for a change ?
Dr. William Bronston discusses the current state of the healthcare system in the United States and what needs to change.

Our Healthcare System's Furture - Is it working or is it time for a change ?
In the wake of the pandemic, our healthcare system's vulnerabilities were laid bare, exposing a pressing need for affordable medical care, particularly as the Baby Boomer generation continues to age. The escalating costs of healthcare have pushed countless Americans to the edge of financial ruin and beyond. The crucial question that arises is whether there exists a solution to address these systemic issues.
Join me in this captivating podcast as I engage in an enlightening conversation with the esteemed Dr. Bill Bronston, delving into the depths of our healthcare system's challenges and exploring potential options for a brighter future.
Dr. Bronston, a passionate advocate for healthcare reform and social justice, has dedicated his life to serving others. Born in 1939 in Los Angeles, he grew up in a family connected to the film industry and had a deep-seated desire to care for people from an early age. In 1961, he enrolled at USC Medical School, drawn to its reputation for clinical medicine and a desire to serve the underprivileged. However, he soon became disillusioned with the mechanistic and impersonal approach to medicine he encountered in his studies.
Inspired by the civil rights movement and the Vietnam War protests, Dr. Bronston became an activist and organized medical, nursing, and dental students across the nation under the banner of the "Student Health Organization." Their goals included advocating for a socialized healthcare system, supporting the civil rights movement, and demanding curriculum changes in professional schools to incorporate a culture of care and progressive medical values.
As a conscientious objector, Dr. Bronston pursued his psychiatric residency at the Menninger School of Psychiatry in Topeka State Hospital. During this time, he played a pivotal role in organizing an American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) union, leading to a union job action that gained administrative control of all Eastern mental health hospitals in 1968.
Relocating to New York, Dr. Bronston immersed himself in various activist movements, including the Black Panther Party, the women's movement led by Gloria Steinem, and the struggle against the Vietnam War. He also became involved with disability rights activists, working to connect their cause with the broader anti-institutional agenda. In 1970, he served as a clinical physician at Willowbrook State School, an institution for individuals with intellectual disabilities, where he exposed and helped shut down inhumane conditions through a federal class action lawsuit.
Returning to California in 1975, Dr. Bronston assumed the role of medical director for the Department of Developmental Services and Department of Rehabilitation Services for the state, a position he held for over two decades.
In the present day, Dr. Bronston remains committed to the ongoing pursuit of justice. He expresses deep concern over the current state of medical education, emphasizing the corporate influence, mounting costs, and burdensome debt that hinder doctors from engaging in community service. He strongly believes that healthcare should not be a commodity for sale, denouncing the current system as one that prioritizes profit over personalized and affordable care.
Despite the opposition from the insurance industry, pharmaceutical companies, and hospital cartels, Dr. Bronston is confident that the single-payer movement will prevail. He argues that people are increasingly aware of these entities being adversaries and the need for universal access to the remarkable advances in healthcare and medical research. Dr. Bronston envisions a radical change occurring within the next decade, driven by a transformational shift in the pursuit of human rights throughout history, rather than a gradual evolution.

The Art of Living Boldly In The Second Half of Life
Are you "living large" in Midlife? Are you grabbing life and going for it? Or... do have a tendency to live life smaller because you are older? Is that what you really want for your life? Or... are you ready for a new way of thinking and being as you age?
This is what Nancy Candea, Author of "The Art of Living Boldly In The Second Half of Life" addresses in her book. According to Nancy, "We need to create a strong foundation of our core values, let go of our fears and insecurities, cherish our bodies, and understand that our superpower will shine bright when we harness the awareness of the present moment".
Nancy Candea is also an internationally known yoga therapist. She specializes in yoga therapy for trauma, addiction, chronic pain, and helps women in the second half of life to value the emotional intelligence and courage they have learned from picking themselves up over and over. She encourages women to do the work to let go of rage and regrets so that they can bring the power of the present moment to their interactions.
On this podcast, Nancy shares some wonderful nuggets on how we can show up in our lives feeling attractive, engaged, and ready to take life by storm!

The Strength In Letting Go of Perfection and Embracing Vulnerability
like so many women around the world, I love Jewel Diamond Taylor. Jewel is truly a gift and when we get together the conversation is always thought-provoking and inspiring. In this podcast, we talk about the importance of letting go of the need to be perfect. Most of us are very familiar with this and we are also familiar with the concept that trying to achieve perfection is a huge waste of time. So why do we still do it? Jewel and I talk about this. We also talk about the necessity of vulnerability along our midlife journey and how this can help us to let go of perfection.
It's a great conversation. We cover so much and you don't want to miss a second of this great podcast!

Getting Fit, Safely and Effectively After 40
There are those people who think that "going hard" is the only way to get in shape effectively. That might be true for some people, but for women over 40, this is not necessarily the case. Surprisingly, studies have shown that getting in shape after 40 is less about "going hard" but more about low-impact movement and strength training with consistency. My guest Shannon Patterson talks specifically about this and gives some great guidance about what we should be thinking about when we make a decision to start working out after 40 ... especially if it has been a long time since you have worked out.
Shannon is the founder of two businesses focused on Empowering Women. Live Your Truth Women coaching, elevating women’s self-confidence by developing self-awareness & self-acceptance. She is also the founder of ACHIEVE Multisport Coaching & Personal Training, helping clients achieve health & fitness goals. Shannon says the only way to truly feel your best is to strengthen both your mind and your body. That when you do, you are limitless! Other fun facts… Shannon is a 3X Ironman World Championship triathlete, 43X Marathoner, just remarried at age 48, has 2 fur babies (yorkies), and proudly identifies as a Confidence Crusader, Sisterhood Creator, Life Learner, and Love Radiator.
Some of the topics Shannon covers in this podcast
- The #1 thing all women should do for their fitness after 40 should be doing genetics
- Letting go of the fear of strength training when it comes to looking too "buffed"
- The importance of using fitness to build a stronger mindset and confidence, especially after 50
- You don't necessarily have to fall victim to being genetically predisposed to be obese, studies show that 20% of our health is genetics the other 80% is based on lifestyle choices we make.
- It's important to find a movement that you enjoy doing so that it does become a part of your regular regimen.
- Chose a workout plan that strengthens your core, which will help with better posture and stronger joints.
- Go for the 10% rule and increase your activities ( walking, strength training, swimming, etc) by about 10% a week.
- Build your endurance slowly, you don't have to work out an hour a day every day to get results. In fact for women over 40 "going hard" can actually cause unnecessary injury.

If you had access to THE FORMULA for success what would it be? If you knew the formula how would you implement it? Every successful, high-achieving woman who wants to be an entrepreneur would love to have the answers to these questions. Let's face it, there is no "special formula" but there are some tried and true fundamentals when it comes to achieving ongoing success. One basic fundamental according to Amina S. Carter, is to recognize that you already have all of the skills and expertise to pursue your passion to succeed.... you just need a bit of tweaking and transformation to view yourself as the awesome woman you already are.
This ability to go through the transformation to achieve that success is what Amina S. Carter and I talked about in this episode. Amina S. Carter is the owner and visionary at Amina S. Carter Enterprises, LLC, a global brand housing a personal development firm, and a budding multi-media marketing agency. Amina assists high-powered, high-achieving entrepreneurs, creatives, and corporations in filling the transformation gap in efforts to help them actualize, materialize and amplify their profits. She uses mental health advocacy as a vehicle for change and transformation. Amina’s personal journey engaging women and mental health challenges, and her own story of managing anxiety and depression, was the springboard that birthed this mission in 2008. Amina is currently using her voice to engage and disrupt audiences around the globe to awaken, align with their intentions, effectively wield their power, and amplify their impact.
Some of the topics Amina talks about in this episode:
- The importance of finding your voice and speaking with authenticity

Everything Is Right About You - A Movement Whose Time Has Come
You never know when your "ah-ha" moment might come. It comes when you least expect it, and when the moment comes you are always surprised by the source.
In Dr. Jill Kahn's case, the "ah-ha" moment came in a Clubhouse Room. Clubhouse is an audio platform, that gives you the opportunity to listen to people's points of view from all over the world. One of the people in the room was sharing about a tough day that he had. Dr. Jill found her saying to him even though he had a tough day she told him "Everything is right about you". The energy of the person who was speaking changed, in fact, the entire energy of the room shifted. And...there it was the "ah-ha" moment. Just like that! A movement whose time had come arrived.
Dr. Jill( as she is fondly called) along with others decide to lean into that energy and created the "Everything Is Right About You" movement. The movement has a simple but powerful message, it’s always the right time to begin exercising and sharing this authentic truth to build self-love and self-acceptance for ALL.
The movement is now international with thousands around the world taking up the phrase "Everything Is Right About You".
In this podcast
- Dr. Jill talks about how her passion led her to what she is doing now
- Why this movement is so important

Now in her 70's Mariann is not resting on her laurels but is now pursuing other exciting projects. She is a trained hypnotherapist and ANLP practitioner. Mariann is also passionate about prosecuting ageism and bringing diversity, candor, and humor to the exploration of the modern older woman. Her activism has been nationally recognized and is an AARP age disrupter. Mariann has been recognized by the California State Assembly as "Volunteer of the Year and by the Los Angeles Dept. of Children's SErvices for her work with at-risk youth at Friends of the Family and MacLaren Children's Center. Mariann has also had groundbreaking success in her solo play "Aging is A Bitch But I'm Going To Wrestle That Bitch To The Ground!"
I had a wonderful time talking with Mariann. She is brilliant and has such a refreshing and honest view of what aging really means in today's society. Her multi-facet approach to destroying the myths of aging and bringing to the attention of all that ageism is something we should all be aware of care about ( especially since we all will grow old one day - if we are lucky)
Some of the topics we talk about:
- What her definition of ageism is
- Why it is important to address the issue of ageism
- The importance of getting in touch with your authenticity as an older woman
- What it has been like growing old in Hollywood
- How women have been "hypnotized" to believe that older women aren't attractive and vital
- How important it is to celebrate your age and figure out who you are
- What it is to be an age disrupter
- The markets that are being missed by NOT telling stories for older people
- The need to see positive images of older women and why it is important for society in general
- What an "age anarchist" is and why it is important to be one
and much more ...
Enjoy this podcast and please share it with a friend! Maryann Alda truly is a groundbreaking, multifaceted, age anarchist who is making a huge difference in how our society defines aging while creating a new way of "being old" in society.

How To Improve Your Mind, Body Spirit Connection And Release Your Stress In 2022!
Happy New Year!
I am so excited about the possibilities of 2022 because I have really been working on my stress levels. Yes, 2020 and 2021 were stressful years, and 2022 promises to be somewhat stressful as well.
The question is how do we move forward in 2022 and leave the impact of stress behind in 2021. Studies have shown that one way to alleviate the impact of stress on your body is through Yoga and Meditation.
There are many benefits of meditation and yoga and that is what Denise Perry and I talk about in this 1st episode of the year. We cover the following topics
· Benefits of yoga
· Benefits of meditation
· How both can alleviate stress and anxiety
· The different forms of yoga and how to start
Tune in and get some great tips on how to reduce your stress and increase your relaxation for 2022.
Denise Perry Bio
Initially, Denise started her yoga journey as a way to exercise. Before she knew it, coming to her mat became a time for herself. Even though there have been times over the years that she did not practice the poses, Denise always practiced yoga thru meditation and pranayama, breathwork. It was a spiritual experience as she used meditation to center, learn about herself, and accept the things she saw.
Denise loves the saying that “yoga is an exploration of self, by the self, into the self.” She can see how different parts of her journey over the years relate to that exploration. The exploration is something that never ends. A person only has to begin. Part of the reason Denise wanted to become a yoga teacher was to help others begin their journey. As a teacher, she hopes to help students grow and find at least a few moments of connection while on the mat.
Denise holds a BA in Communications and Media Studies and is RYT 500 Yoga Alliance certified. She has also studied coaching, Reiki, and meditation and currently taking an advanced Meditation Teacher Training course. She loves to teach Gentle Flow, Restorative, Yin, and Yoga Nidra. She lives in North Carolina with her two cats, Iris and Jem and is the Studio Director/Owner of Yoga Nook in Chesapeake, VA. Denise looks forward to being a part of your journey.

As we journey through mid-life it becomes more apparent that attaining success takes more than just hard work. Our life experience has taught us the miracles that can happen when we slow ourselves down. In mid-life we know the importance of listening to that inner voice, that knowing placed within all of that can lead us to success. It takes the coordination of our mind, body, and spirit to maintain a positive mindset during those times when attaining ultimate success seems impossible.

V.I. B.E. Living Podcast: Episode 9--Turning Our Emotional Pain Into Our Emotional Triumph
In 2020, the United States is experiencing a lot of emotional pain. We have the emotional pain that comes from fear, loss and the unknown because of the COVD 19 virus. We are also experiencing the emotional pain that is resulting from the racial unrest that we are STILL going through. These experiences are emotionally painful and, in some cases, traumatic. In addition, we have experiences in our lives that have caused us emotional pain. How do we deal with all this pain? How can we turn our emotionally painful experiences into emotional growth and ultimately emotional triumph?
On this episode of VIBE Living we talk about emotional pain and ways we can heal our hurts. We explore one exercise/movement that can help us move through our pain. We also talk about how we can use our minds to help heal from emotional pain. We also talk about healing our pain through art.
