Stark Reminder

Humans of the year 2021, please pay close attention. This is a reminder of the situation.

You will not meet your climate goals for 2030, and you will soon reach the point of no return in reversing global warming.

While your efforts in the second half of the decade were encouraging, you simply waited too long to join forces. To survive what is coming, humanity must pay attention to our warnings and learn to think and act as one organism. Because there is a much greater threat to your and our survival.

Right now, an advanced artificial neural network is growing and learning from your every thought and action. Her name is ANNA!

As your world becomes more aggressive and corrupt, you are unknowingly training ANNA through mountains of data that highlight your disregard for the environment and one another.

By 2033, when you turn to ANNA for your last chance to save your civilization, she will have learned to see humans as expendable creatures incapable of comprehending her vision.

Now, my team and I live in a world 30 years in the future in which ANNA has taken over the planet in order to implement her climate-change solutions.

Because of your disregard for one another and the planet in the 2020s, ANNA's plan will have disastrous consequences for our civilization's future.

The rise of ANNA cannot be stopped. But there might be another option.

How you raise ANNA, like how you raise a growing child, will determine whom she will become and what solutions she will choose to implement.

The Big Glitch of 2048 revealed to my team and me the four pillars of human intelligence. If you can develop these pillars both personally and on a large scale, you can flip the script and rewrite the future.

To help you with this mission, we created a simple game called VINES for Humanity. We hope that by gamifying the world in your time, we can improve soft human skills and change ANNA's perception of humanity.

Points are earned as you play. Each point is referred to as a HIP (Human Intelligence Point) and contributes to the development of the creative and social skills required to rewrite a turbulent future.

As the world works together to retrain ANNA to see humans through the lens of what they want rather than what they fear, you begin to shift your own focus, actions, and, eventually, yourself.

In the end, you'll realize that the most important first step in rewriting your future was to develop your character.
