There is hope. You can reclaim your life from Alcohol Use Disorder!
The Community Foundation has partnered with the Canadian Alcohol Use Disorder Society (CAUDS) to promote safe and effective medical treatment for Alcohol Use Disorder (or alcoholism). There are inexpensive, non-addictive and extremely effective medications available today that will help the majority of those suffering from this disorder.
Stigma and lack of education are stopping hundreds of thousands of people from getting treatment that works and CAUDS is working to change that.

Helping Charities Help Themselves
The charitable sector is filled with dedicated professionals working hard to make the world a better place. They go after this mission with energy and commitment and tackle, head on, some of society's most difficult issues. Often this level of commitment leads to sacrifice, with charities not feeling the have the time or resources to look after their own house.
Just like the emergency masks on airplanes state, "Put your own mask on first so that you can help others."
Today we discuss some of the challenges and opportunities facing charities as they work to become healthier, more efficient and more effective.
