Change the Plan Not the Purpose - Pamela Henkle
So many words of wisdom were spoken by Pamela in this podcast that it was difficult to choose the title. Any number of things she said would have been perfect. Pamela went through episodes of a lack of confidence and assurance within herself. For example when a rude man looked her intently in her eyes and told her she was a joke in the faith community and that she should go home and take care of her children. She is anything but a joke. It was certainly a blow to her but fortunately for us she didn’t let it keep her down. Someone else came along later and told her she needed to be a trailblazer because she was ahead of her time. That’s the counsel she chose to listen to. This woman is so inspirational, you really must listen to this podcast. Once you do you can check out her own podcast where you will learn she is the founder of Purpose by Design as well as a pastor of Victory Celebration Church.
She can be found at www.purposewithpamela.com

Work Your Grit – Delilah Alvarado
If you like to be inspired, pumped, and motivated listen to this podcast. Delilah learned many awesome lessons as a little girl but still grew up with a self-perception that would weigh her down and absolutely would not serve her purpose. She speaks of her family’s poverty and the hard work it created for every family member. But that was how she learned the importance of effective leadership and that when you are a part of a team, you will have to develop the skill of being able to follow as well as being able to lead. She believes everyone will be called upon to lead at some point. Despite the negative self-beliefs, she always knew she was a fighter, had something to say (just didn’t know what that was), and knew that she could get to the person she wanted to be with hard work. She believes in movement and states “don’t get comfortable with a success you weren’t designed for. Keep moving.”

Don’t Let the Opinions of Others Discourage You - John Vuong
One of four kids, John’s family immigrated to Canada from Vietnam. Hard work was what they knew and was their normal. It was probably what made him such a strong, energetic, determined guy from his youth. He started in sales with a paper route. He studied business finance in college with one year as an exchange student in England. For ten years he sold ads for Yellow Pages. It allowed him to build relationships with many small-medium business owners. He learned that there is not much return on investment with printed ads. He knew early on that his purpose was to take care of others by adding value. So he decided to help small-medium businesses dominate their niche markets in their local environments by digital advertising of which he knew nothing. He had to learn SEO and how to get a business to show up on Google’s first search page. He has built his own successful business by helping others to be successful. An all-around win-win situation.
He can be found at local.seo.com.ca
His Podcast is Local SEO Today

Dreams need to be exercised What dream or vision would you have if you knew failure wasn’t possible Emotion (Passion) is the secret sauce that moves the dream forward Strengthen yourself physically, mentally, spiritually Daily positive affirmations: Don’t just write them. Speak them out loudHe purposed in his heart that he would be an example of all those and more and so he is. He has been a part of an art show from which he was commissioned to do a piece for someone. Also, a documentary has been filmed about him (not released yet). The Musical Mindset - Stephen Kohler
You have got to tune into this podcast! Stephen is a musician and an executive coach. “What does one have to do with the other?” you ask. The answer to that is everything. His premise is that people have stopped listening. We get so caught up with ‘get it done’ deadlines that we’re out of touch with the most important things. He has a three-step formula for training people how to listen. 1) Listen to yourself 2) Practice listening to those around you 3) Connect with those in your surroundings (audience).
Stephen uses music to create exercises to train people how to be better leaders in their organizations and life. It is brilliant. Musically minded people will get it right away. Non-musical people may take a little longer, but they, too, will get it and be transformed by it. I could say so much more but I don’t want to give away the good stuff. Just tune in. You will be glad you did.

Selling Your Story - Dale Roberts
Ever had a teacher that was totally boring and another that was, energetic and inspiring? Well, Dale Roberts is the second experience. He is a best-selling fitness author on Amazon but he is doing something different now. He teaches people how to write and self-publish books that sell. With a position as an activities director for a senior complex with growth potential, he decided to write a book. It brought in a little over $24 upon which he decided to quit his job and write full time. A gutsy move, but he didn’t feel panic until he had gone through all his savings. He then consulted a coach. In about six months he was up and running. He kept thinking it was a fluke but it just kept going. His youtube channel got started when he tried to save himself by answering the same question one time in a video rather than a gazillion times individually. It grew into the Youtube channel: “Self Publishing with Dale”. This gentleman has the heart and passion of a servant. He love’s connecting people with people and turning competitors into collaborators. If you ever get a chance to talk to him you will find that his passion just oozes out of him.

Lose the Façade - Kelley Sgroi
Talk about a life full of trouble with a somewhat belated turnaround Kelley’s story is just that. From her early childhood, she experienced very negative things and carried that mindset into her adult life. She believed in order to be acceptable she had to be perfect. Along the way, she developed an eating disorder, got married, and had triplets which she found very challenging to handle only she wouldn’t admit that to anyone. She had to keep up appearances of being perfect. While in her forties she was diagnosed with breast cancer. That took a year-long chunk out of her life while she endured all the usual therapies for breast cancer. At that point, after twenty-five years of being a dental hygienist, she decided she wanted to help women and earned a master’s degree in counseling. Even as a therapist, she experienced some very negative things like a narcissistic husband who took her passport and left her stranded in a foreign country. She determined she needed to decide as to whether she would continue to be victimized by her circumstances or step up and create the existence she really wanted for herself. She worked with a coach who told her that the negative self-belief she carried inside her was inviting all the negative stuff into her life. Anyone who has done any self-assessment and tried to turn the direction of their life around will for sure identify with her story. Those who have not done so will be inspired to take a look at themselves and set off on a new journey of their own. For help and guidance, Kelley can be found very easily by performing a Google search for Kelly Sgroi LMHC.

Dealing With the Emotions of Finances - Adam Koren
Want to set your mind at ease about your finances? Adam Koren is a compassionate financial coach who takes a creative approach to help people deal with money issues. He finds that people don’t like to talk about money. In many cases, they don’t like to deal with it at all until they are hit with some sort of crisis for which they don’t have funds to deal with but feel they should. Most financial and/or investment counselors deal with the should or shouldn’t rules of money handling. His approach is to deal with the emotional attachments to what things money can do for a person. He likes to determine what:
A person wants on both the numbers and emotional side Will relieve their anxiety (which is not necessarily slashing the food budget) It Will help them not be uncomfortable about talking about their moneyHe states the growth benefit his clients experience from working with him is they begin by being extremely anxious and ashamed and end up feeling relaxed, confident, and settled in their mind and heart. He wants people to know they don’t have to face the money issue alone. He does recommend a personal management tool that most of his clients find very helpful which is the free app “Mint” from Intuit. For a consultation, he can be found at adamkoren.com and offers a discount for mentioning the podcast so be sure and listen to this one!

She was diagnosed with BI-Polar disease and was on medication for twenty years. She has been medication free for some time now. It started out with her having migraines (177 in a year’s time) and then she started falling so much so that she had to retire from her job. She credits God with leading her through the process of getting medication free and being healed. She says the Lord spoke to her and said the medications she was taking were killing her. She checked herself in to a two week program to wean herself from the meds. Then she did a green smoothie cleanse and ended up becoming a vegan. She also quit drinking anything with caffeine in it. She states that the Lord told her she needed to work out more than the average person. So, she runs every day and swims one a week. This led to her having a daily Facebook prayer run. Many people have gotten a lot out of her ‘Prayer Run’.
You can meet her at www.allisonjoan.com.
She has also written a book: Cracks in the Potters Clay, How I Overcame Bi-Polar with Faith

The Color of Resiliency - Michelle Graff
Michelle Graff
Michelle Graff comes from a child welfare background. After a point in her career, she determined she could have more impact by changing her focus to working with the help professionals. This is a packet of powerful information from the author of The Compassion Fatigued Organization: Restoring Compassion to Helping Professionals. The multiple topics Michelle addresses include:
The importance of relationships
How personal and secondary trauma affects people (The brain reacts the same to both.)
The color of resiliency
The fact that the helping professionals are not so different from those needing help.
Michelle focuses on teaching people how to become more self-aware, build resiliency, distinguish self vs. other’s trauma through self-awareness, how to recognize when compassion is being shut off in the brain freeze response for protection, and know that compassion is necessary and replenishable. Michelle believes interpersonal relationships are very important and we must learn how to set appropriate boundaries as well as be respectful of other’s boundaries and accept the fact that we as individuals have no control of another person’s determined boundaries. She talks about the importance of employing and broadening skills needed to reset, maintain, and regulate yourself into responding rather than reacting to those things that trigger the flight, fight or freeze mode of trauma. One can’t help but learn a lot from Michelle Graff.

Understanding Kriya - Grant Ifflander
I was so blessed to have Grant Ifflander on the show. We had some technical issue with him being in Costa Rica, but I believe that the message that was supposed to be delivered was. Grant is first and foremost a practitioner but is otherwise an ordinary human seeking to live an extraordinary life filled with inspiration and joy.
For more than ten years he has been serving the community as a coach, a speaker, a writer, an author, and a yoga teacher. In 2015 he left his career as a mortgage banker and shortly afterward experienced the transformational power that came from establishing a daily sadhana. This led him to begin studying, teaching and presenting all over the world, including places like Costa Rica, Panama, India, and the UK.
Grant believes wholeheartedly in the potentials embedded in human consciousness and trusts in the practices and methods which support a person’s connection to this ineffable force. He has made it his mission to translate and distill the often fanciful concepts of New Age spirituality into a grounded and practical framework to support human empowerment. He believes that coming together with a common interest to awaken, grow, or heal is the power that we need to change the world.
If you feel inspired to learn more about Yoga, Sadhana, and Kriya reach out to Grant at https://bridgethegapyoga.com/

Pushing for Consistency - Mikey G
Join me with my good friend Michael Griffin (a.k.a. Mikey G) as we talk about aiming for consistency but understanding that sometimes you might have to start over. When most get to that point they simply quit. Mikey G's message to you is to never quit! Starting over may suck but what would suck more is never finding your true potential. This kid has a story and a message that you have to hear.

Finding the World You Didn't Know Existed - Quinton Blanche
So excited to have my good friend and mentor Quinton Blanche on this episode as he talks about making it in a world he never knew existed. By setting the goal, making the decision to achieve that goal, and being voracious you can achieve anything you set your mind to. You are going to want to hear the wisdom that "Q" has to offer to find your success.

To Cut Off Any Other Option
In this episode, I talk about decision making, how they should be made, and how we tend to lead ourselves into the analysis paralysis. I reference the book "Think and Grow Rich a lot in this episode because of the chapter contained within it on decisions and some pretty important points Napoleon Hill makes on the topic. Decisions are an important aspect when we first set out to achieve anything in life.

Bringing the Future Into the Present

Finding Success After Divorce
It has always been my intention to talk about having a mindset for success as it pertains to certain events. Today I was blessed to have two very good friends join me in talking about overcoming divorce by building the proper mindset. Defeating the Self-Image
Our self-image sets the boundaries of what we believe we can accomplish. When we begin to understand that we were made for greatness we will start accomplishing great things.

Your Thoughts Have Power
In this second episode, I begin to bring to light the conscious and subconscious minds and the power that they have to either work towards our goals or work against them. Remember that it all begins with thoughts and, after this, you will know why.

How Thoughts Become Things
In this first episode, I discuss what the concept of thoughts becoming things looks like. There is a distinct process the carries our thoughts and beliefs into action generating results. This is the perfect topic for this episode as our thoughts are truly the starting point for developing a successful mindset.
