Thank you for joining us for another episode of Playing With the Word Podcast, from Waynesboro Mennonite Church.
Today’s episode consists of two parts, shared by members Liisa and Marvin Weston, offering different perspectives on the struggles of addiction. In the first part of this episode, Marvin shares his story as a recovering alcoholic- his experiences while struggling with addiction and his recovery journey. In the second part of this episode, his wife Liisa shares her story and perspective of the challenges she faced as a family member of an addict and how she found support and healing.
Marvin and Liisa’s message is shared with honesty and transparency, and is a message of hope. Listen to their stories as they share how God met them in their struggles, opened their hearts to find support, healing, and transformation. This message offers hope to those who are currently struggling with addiction, those in recovery, and to the loved ones who are close to an addict and face these challenges, in different ways.
