Dr. Sotelo is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is also the owner of the “Big Abilities” blog and podcast. In addition to writing her own blog, she writes for Playground Magazine, The Mighty, and National Autism Resources. She and her family are located in Orlando Florida. In this conversation we chat about the changes in her life that happened when she and her husband had a son in their mid 40's. Early on he was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. She has learned to be vulnerable, and go through a healing journey by helping others see the "Big Abilities" in kiddos just like her sweet boy, Barclay.
We talk about the importance of self care, redeeming your story, and building a village to walk with through life.
