This time Jeff and I talk with Lisa and Heather, the artists behind the Meet Your Maker Market. We got to know them a bit and find out more about their art and the market, which is a monthly event here on Foster where artists can sell their work for free.

We're back! This episode we talk with Emily Elpusan, owner of The Headstrong Hound- Foster Powell's pet supply store. We talk about why Emily opened a business during the pandemic, her work to promote BIPOC and woman owned brands, cultural identity, and what FoPo is like to a new business owner. We also chat about our dogs Bowie (Emily's) and Sebastian (Allen's) as they sleep through the conversation.

Welcome to your dogcast! We have a long chat with Craig Giffen, who along with his dog Freddie runs the Instagram feed "pdxfreecrap" that features photos of Freddie and the things they find on the streets of FoPo. We also talk about some of Craig's other online shenanigans, as well as the weirdness that is living in Foster Powell.

Check out our conversation with Dontae Mathis, owner of Like Dat Apparel. Dontae is a businessman, father, and advocate for at-risk kids who is always striving to better himself and his community. We talk about how he turned his life to a different direction after a rough start, his work with children, and some of the unfortunate realities of being a Black business owner. Through it all he's always looking for a way to make a positive change.

This time we talk with Tom DeJardin, executive director of the Mt. Scott Learning Center. We found out about the history and mission of the school, as well as the unique story of the building. We also got to know more about Tom as we discussed his journey from the private sector to over 30 years in education.

Jeff and I talk with Matt Froman, the driving force behind restoring the Phoenix Pharmacy building. We learn more about Matt, the building's history, and the huge amount of work being done to give the building a future.

This time we talk with Mike and Sarah from Foster Outdoor! Find out more about how the store came to be, and the awesome community support at the core of the business.
