Sometimes in our lives, God will lead us into something that we are uncertain of. One of the greatest traps in the Christian faith is the idea of Comparison. We can quickly discount what God is doing in our lives when we compare it to what we’ve seen him do in other people’s lives, or what we saw him do in our past. We can compare gifts, opportunity, and even ministries. In today’s message, Pastor Holland will be sharing a story of when the Israelites were comparing their lives in the wilderness to their lives back in Egypt. Comparison led them to discontentment!

One of the coolest, yet hardest things to understand about the Gospel, is how God brings us into his Kingdom. In the current state of our society, the lines have been blurred, and everything seems to fall into the gray area. Have you ever experienced the genuine presence of God? When the Children of Israel made their exodus from Egypt, God's presence, was with them. Sometimes people are afraid of commitment. “Sure, it's okay to be involved in different things, but only on the condition, that you can opt out, out at any time.” Maybe it's for fear of losing autonomy or freedom.  “If I commit to this... then there goes my independence.” In today's Message, Pastor Holland teaches us, that when we commit ourselves to God when we surrender to Him, we aren't losing ourselves, but gaining Him. Our lives were lost, but Jesus bought and paid for us with His blood so that we could be redeemed.

Before a wedding takes place, there are many things that must first be prepared. Of course, there are things like, the venue, the decorations, and the food that's to be served, but there's also the wedding party. You have the groom, and the groomsmen that get fixed up in their tuxes, and the bridesmaid in their dresses, but the most important preparation that must take place, is that, of the bride. Pastor Holland reminds us in today's message, that we are, the bride of Christ, preparing for His soon return.

In our culture, life seems to always be about getting ahead. We're constantly looking, for that special edge.. something to get us ahead, something to, help us climb up, another rung on the ladder. When we experience testing, trials, and things that are often viewed as setbacks, we must remember, that it's Him that elevates us, He's the one who will lead us to greater things. Not for our glory, but for His.

In our modern western culture, we don't understand the concept of a betrothal. The closest thing we have is an engagement, but even in the engagement, we don't see the same level of commitment as in a betrothal. In the engagement, there is still the option to back out of the marriage, but in a betrothal, the commitment has already been made; the marriage has been all but consummated. In today's Message, Pastor Holland shows us how our commitment to the Lord is to be like a betrothal.

As a human, it's in our nature to try and control and handle every little aspect of our lives, isn't it?  But what is usually the result?  Failure, disappointment, frustration, and fatigue?  It's incredible the contrast when we put our complete trust and confidence in the work Jesus did on the cross, all our striving falls away, and we experience peace.  Today in his message, pastor Holland reminds us to stay plugged into God's word and close to Jesus; the rest you will have will be beyond any you've ever had!

What draws you to a life living for God?  Is it a strict set of rules to follow?  Or is it a relationship with a loving and powerful God who wants only good for you in your peaceful surrender?  I hope it's the second, that you feel so drawn into a life of joy and love with a God who loves you!  Today in his message, pastor Holland reminds us of the difference between the two choices in our lives:  follow rules that get you no relationship, or live a surrendered life to a God who loves you and has the fullness of life!

God sees you for exactly who you are because He’s the one that made you! Let’s celebrate the fact that we all have something different to offer, and that we have a Creator who sees us for exactly who we are.

Do you ever feel like you’re stuck, and the help you need is never there? Sin causes separation. God created a solution to deal with sin, but the individual must choose to come to Jesus and be reunited with the Lord. Often religion tries to fix this separation. Through good deeds, tithe offerings, and rituals, actions make the offender feel better about themselves. But as Pastor Holland shares in today's lesson, true reconciliation comes from a relationship with Christ. There is no amount of good work you can do to work your way back to God.

In the Old Testament, the high priest would enter into the Holy of Holies to atone for sin and to communicate with the Lord. Following Christ's resurrection, we no longer use the temple or a priest to meet with the Lord. Instead, as Pastor Holland shares in today's lesson, you can invite Jesus into your Holy of Holies- your heart. You can have direct communication with the Father. Take some time today to appreciate this direct relationship you have with the Father that was not available before Christ's death.

As connected as our world is, people remain divided.  And those fissures are growing at an alarming rate.  That’s why it’s so important to remind yourself of what God says is true in His Word.  We’re all the same.  We all need Jesus.  Today, Pastor Holland encourages you to remember that God has called all people to Himself.  And He loved us so much that He gave up his life to rescue us.  But, like everyone else, you have the choice to take Him up on His offer.  His return is drawing near, so say yes to Jesus today.

If the Lord were to return today; would you be ready for it? Nobody but God knows the where and when of Jesus’ return, but what we do know is that it will happen! Are you prepared? If you are; what about your kids? What about your friends and families? While it may be a scary thought, is your comfort zone really worth sacrificing the eternal salvation of the ones you care about? Hard-hitting questions; no doubt. But the hardest questions are the ones that need to be answered eventually.

The only one who truly knows when Jesus will return is Jesus himself! All that we know for sure is that it will happen. However, the Bible does go into pretty deep detail about how the Anti-Christ will rise to power. In his message, today Pastor Holland will compare some of our “modern-day” details to our known descriptions of who or what the Anti-Christ will be. We may not know when the Lord will return, but what we can know is whether or not we’re ready for it.

Sometimes we get confused by what the Bible says, it’s been like that for a long time! The word of God says that we are the Lord’s sheep. It’s a classic phrase “The Lord is my shepherd”. We’re in a pretty scary period of history, so it’s important not to let our own feelings and understandings get ahead of what God wants in our lives. God also says that his sheep will hear His voice. While it may sound strange to ask yourself out loud, it’s an important question to answer: Are you one of God’s sheep?

In a world filled with death and destruction, where does your hope come from? It certainly won't be from the things of this world, so where else can you look for hope? Since the day Jesus set foot on this earth, His kingdom was established. God is in control and will be until the end of time. Satan may win some battles, but God will win the war!

The Gospel story is a love story. God so loved us that He, himself, came down from heaven to save us. He didn’t leave it up to someone else, or send a messenger, or give us a pat on the back and say, “Welp, sorry I can’t help.” No! As Pastor Holland reminds you today, Jesus came down fully God and fully man, lived a perfect life, and became the sacrificial lamb on the cross for you. You need a personal relationship with God. You can’t just know about God, or even hold to moral values that line up with Scripture. God gives us laws to point us to our need for faith in Him and to guide us towards a life that honors Him through obedience out of gratitude. Things aren’t the same as they were because you aren’t the same person.  God is changing you from the inside out. So, like the Israelites going back to Egypt, it would take a lot of work for you to return to the way you lived before.

Worshipping the Lord is a gift. It’s a gift for you as an individual and also a gift to others watching you. We all worship something. Every single one of us. That’s because we were created for worship. If we don’t rightly fill the void with God, then we’ll fill the void with other things that bring us short-lived pleasure. As Pastor Holland reminds us today, first of all, we serve a God worthy of worship! Secondly, when you worship Him, you set an example. Others will seek and find Him because of you.

God hates separation and division. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross to end separation once and for all. So, when Christians are divisive, it angers Him. In today’s message, Pastor Holland reminds us that God’s desire is for believers to live in harmony and unity. This doesn’t mean we’ll never have arguments or disagreements, but what it should mean is that we can work them out in Christ. Our goal should be valuing and loving other Christians in order to lead nonbelievers to Christ.

Our separation from God isn’t because of what we do, it’s because of who we are. It’s nothing we can change of our own volition by working hard or trying to live up to some expectation. No! That’s why God sent His Son to die for us. Jesus paid it all because our debt was too great.  So now, as Pastor Holland reminds us today, when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you’re changed from the inside out. You’re no longer separated from God because you’re no longer the same person.

There’s a distinct difference between believing there is a God and being a true follower of God. Just as in Pharoah’s day, people couldn’t deny God’s wonders and miracles. He made Himself apparent to everyone as He rescued His people out of Egypt. Still, many chose not to accept Him as their own God. Pastor Holland reminds us in his message today, that making God “your God” is the first step to salvation. Although Jesus’ gift is free and available to everyone, you must receive it.

Truth is a funny thing. It remains the truth regardless of whether anyone believes it or not. So it is, with Christianity. In today’s message, Pastor Holland reminds us that it doesn’t really even matter if you believe in God or not. It matters to your salvation, sure! But whether or not you believe in God, Jesus, or heaven has no bearing on their existence. So it was, in Noah’s day. God found only Noah to be faithful. One person in all the earth and still God remained. How about you? Will you be one of the faithful?

We often think of our “sin” as separating us from God. And although this is true, it’s probably not true in the way that you’re thinking. In today’s message, Pastor Holland teaches about the translation of the word “sin” in relation to the verse: “the wages of sin is death” found in Romans chapter 6. Did you know the word “sin” there is not a verb? It’s a noun. Our actions don’t separate us from God. Our very being does. That’s why the Bible stresses that Jesus is the only way to be saved. We need a Savior!

Jesus Christ is your King. If you’ve given your life to Him, you’re under His authority. In today’s message, Pastor Holland reminds you that you can’t decide to give your life to Christ and then go your own way. Your path has a new trajectory; it’s pointed to Heaven and the only way to get there is through Jesus. Believers who turn their back on God and think they can live their lives how they want under grace are mistaken. Jesus is your King, and you are subject to His loving, merciful, perfect authority.

Jesus paid our debt in full on the cross. Nothing else needs to be done. So, Pastor Holland reminds us today, if you’re still living under condemnation and guilt, then you’re living a lie. Jesus died so that you could live. If what He did wasn’t sufficient, then it’s worthless and pointless and you’re still lost in your sin. No! His death meant everything! You’re saved, redeemed, and sealed for all eternity. Praise the Lord for His gift of salvation, and let go of fear, shame, and condemnation that are not from the Lord.

In today’s message, Pastor Holland reminds us that the enemy has no power over us. When you become a born-again Christian, the only One who wields all the power is Jesus Christ. Luckily, He uses His power for good and to set us free. Grab onto the truth of this: Satan has no hold on you. You were redeemed at a price because Jesus deemed you worthy! He accepted his plight of becoming the sacrificial lamb to save you from your sins. Your eternity is sealed because of His power and love for you.

Our God is a jealous God. To serve Him, you must have no other gods before Him. What does this mean? In our culture, it doesn’t necessarily mean serving another actual god, like Ra or Allah, although serving them is wrong as well. But we’ve gotten really good at being conspicuous about our gods, serving things we don’t even label as gods. As Pastor Holland asks in his message today, “What are you serving above the one true God?” Where are your time, money, and effort going? Where is your focus?

Sometimes it feels like living for God is an impossible task. You just can’t do the things that you know you should. You’re your own worst enemy. Well, in today’s teaching, Pastor Holland shares that God is the one who will change you and give you the strength to live for Him. It’s not up to you to muster it up or to make things happen. He does all that. Pastor Holland will encourage you to trust that God is working and, even though you’ll blow it sometimes, Jesus is always standing the gap for you.

We want nothing to do with Him, and the purpose of this life is to please ourselves. But that kind of life is void of meaning. Only God can change you from the inside out.

There are two opposing kingdoms in our world today: the kingdom of God and the world system that is controlled by Satan. In today’s message, Pastor Holland reminds us that we cannot belong to both. When you become a believer, you are part of God’s kingdom and lose your citizenship in this world. Some people try to toe the line and grasp tightly to things they no longer have rights to. Everyone was under God and there were no other ruling authorities. This is the way God would have preferred things, but with man’s free will and sin nature, this system broke down. The God of the universe is more powerful than you could ever imagine. Just read about the Creation of the world, the flood, and the ark, and as Pastor Holland will share today, the plagues He brought against Egypt. What an incredible and almighty God we have the privilege of serving! God is still doing incredible things today – He’s offering new life to you. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die in your place on the cross. Salvation is the most incredible power move God has made against Satan – have you taken advantage of it?

We can easily be deceived by the world into forgetting who we are. We can lose sight and get bogged down in negative thinking and self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. But in today’s message, Pastor Holland reminds you that your identity is in Christ. You are who He says you are. He made you for a purpose and has a plan for your life.
