Now we’re a third of the way into the season, we’re starting to see who’s looking good and who’s… well… Carolina. The news sees a few moves and potential moves within the league as we draw towards the trade deadline. Trivia around Punters and Vikings this week, and Gee promises that he didn’t see Dan’s question (hmmm…). All this and more on this week’s episode of The Wrong Football NFL Podcast!

We’re back again - Dan swears that his absence wasn’t just because if the Dolphins/Bengals result, but does concede that it was pretty good timing! Anyway, this week we’re talking about Concussions (as is everyone at the moment!), looking at the week with the most backup quarterbacks ever (probably) and making our picks for games of the week in Week 6! All that and more, on TWF NFL Podcast!

Well, this week is light on news but heavy on game action, as we look back at the games from week 3 of the regular season. Just 2 teams remain unbeaten at this stage (including the Dolphins, of course) but it’s still early days. Trivia is focused around Punting, and the famous TWF Bowl (well, famous to us anyway), which is coming up this Thursday night!

Injuries a-plenty this week in the news as teams and players get back into the routine of the regular season. There’s a lot of teams on 1-1 and not many who are yet to lose, so it’s all shaping up to be a very interesting season. We take a look at the action from Week 2, including one of the best comebacks you’ll see in the form of the Dolphins against the Ravens. In Trivia, Dan somehow phones it in and still manages to get a minute and a half of content out of it!

I think it’s fair to say that one of us is a little happier than the other after Week One (spoiler: it’s Dan). While we can’t take too much away from just one game, it’s interesting to see how teams are starting to shape up after the pre-season. In the news, we look at a couple of contract situations which are currently playing out, and also a couple of injuries coming out of Week One.

The season is now so close you can almost taste it, which means we’d better wrap up our preview episodes - covering the NFC North and South this week. We also take a look at week one’s slate of frankly excellent games, and Dan forces Gee to make a bold prediction!

Gee’s on his own this week, and spends some time previewing the NFC East and West. There’s been quite a bit of news this week, including some more players with conduct issues, and a new TV deal for the NFL in the UK! You might not even notice that Dan isn’t there!!

It’s the turn of the North and South portions of the AFC to take a thorough previewing this week, as Gee finally gets to talk about his Bengals for the first time since the Post-Superbowl pod! He’s also been watching a lot more pre-season football than Dan, so his Preseason Ponderings get a whole section of their own, as he gives his thoughts on how the Bengals, Panthers and Lions have got on so far. And there’s some good news in that Watson’s ban has been increased… but is it long enough?

We’re starting the year as we always do with a recap of the off-season’s biggest news stories (including some updates since our earlier off-season episodes), before moving on to our annual league previews. Also, this special episode has an interview with Russell Hadfield of UK Flag Football team the Nottingham Bears, who is here to talk about how he got into the game, and how you could give it a go too, even if you don't fancy all of the full contact of the full game! Oh, and Dan messes up his trivia and feels really really silly about it....!

SUPERBOWL! Well, we’re here - it’s the big one, and Gee is feeling… well, a little delicate about it all. This week, on the final episode of the season, Dan and Gee give their thoughts on how the big game went, what’s next for the Bengals and the Rams, and who we might have seen the last of. Also, we can’t have one of these podcasts without looking at the half-time show with Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dog and friends! Also, we’ve got the final Trivia of the year, and we talk about who we may have seen the last of after this season.

The penultimate episode of the Season sees Dan and Gee previewing the Super Bowl, this year between the Cincinnati Bengals and the LA Rams. Before doing that though, there’s the small matter of what might turn out to be the ‘Story of the Off-Season’ to cover in the News, and a couple more Head Coach hires to talk about too. Finally, Dan and Gee make their predictions for the big game! Who do they think will win? Who is looking forward to the half time show the most? Will Gee ever be able to get those splinters from his fence out of his backside? There’s only one way to find out…

After another fantastic week of football, Dan and Gee are back to mull things over. If you weren't aware (I'm sure you were as Gee has been telling everyone ever since) his belived Bengals have reached their first Superbowl since 1989... and Gee's quite happy about it! Elsewhere the Rams faced the 49ers for the NFC conference in another cracker of a game. Trivia is very much quarterback related this week, and with the big news of Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisburger deciding to hang up their boots this week, what else could they talk about?

So, what can two idiots from England add to the commentary about what was probably the best weekend of football that the league has ever seen? Well, turns out, quite a bit! Gee is still giddy with his Bengals being in the AFC Championship game this week (for the record, Dan’s still convinced he’ll end up flying to LA if they get to the Super Bowl!) but outside of that, we had an amazing few games to look at for this episode. The big question this week is ‘can Gee contain his excitement’ at his team finally winning a playoff game after 31 years - he’s certainly happy with himself, even if he has no fingernails left and found himself curled up in a nervous ball on Saturday night! It’s not just that game though - Dan and Gee run through Wildcard week, and also talk about how the Raiders might recover given that they’ll have a new GM next year. Dan's talking about the very sad death of John Madden, the release of the Hall Of Fame shortlist, and also the behaviour of Antonio Brown after his display at the weekend saw him cut by the Buccs. Well, Christmas is but a distant memory, so Dan and Gee are back to looking at Football, and with Week 16 in the books, that’s as good a place as any to start! They start a bit of a debate around Rookie of the Year (it’s definitely going to be Waddle!) and Gee beams over his team’s mega day against the Ravens. Dan’s got himself a lovely new sound effect to use for Christmas, and in Trivia, Gee’s looking at passers with 500+ yard games…

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!! It's that time of year again where we get the bells out and squeeze in as many Christmas references as we possibly can! Lots to discuss this week, including COVID ripping its way through the league causing disruption all over the schedule. Week 15 included some good games (and surprising results) for us to go through, and Dan somehow manages to pre-empt Gee's trivia question, which I think is a Wrong Football Trivia first! Give us a listen while you're digesting those Christmas sprouts!

Week 13 is now in the books and was certainly unlucky for some! This week we cover all of the games from last week, including the game with the worst set of weather conditions that we’ve seen for a long while as the Patriots faced the Bills. As always I (Dan) am not one to complain, but I feel terrible, so I’m holding a competition to see who notices the cough I did manage to edit out! Oh, and you’ll want to stay till the end to hear Gee’s excellent impression of the Grumpy Gandalf, Bill Belichick!

Having given sufficient amount of Thanks last week, Dan and Gee are back to cast an eye over the league and what exactly is going on! There’s not much news this week, so you get a bonus chat as they take a look at wether any potential Superbowl contenders are popping their heads up just yet with 5 weeks to go until the Post Season. And it’s a coincidentally Bengals-centric trivia round this week too - they promise that they didn’t pre-arrange that! And just know, that somewhere in a room in Leicester, Dan is kicking himself for not referring to it as the Stone Cold Steve Austin Episode..... (get it? 3:16? huh?)

It's been a bit quiet this week when it comes to news, so this week's episode focuses mainly on looking back to Week 11, and forward to Week 12! Thanksgiving is this coming weekend, so Gee's excited to have his annual holiday to watch the Thursday games. But how do you feel your team are getting on so far this season? We go through Week 8, and Gee makes a very bold prediction for Week 9's Thursday game. Plus, Trivia sees Gee trying to test Dan's knowledge of the New York Jets, of all people!! Given how Dan's feeling about football in general after the last few weeks of Dolphins games (and trade rumours!) you're lucky that you're not listening to The Wrong Tiddlywinks podcast (although Gee tried hard to make sure that's exactly what it was!), but we are in fact back again this week to discuss the sport you love. It's Dan and Gee's 100th episode together, and what have they done to celebrate? Well... nothing really! What they have done though is wrapped up their previews of the 2021 season, looking this week at the NFC North and NFC South divisions, including last year's Super Bowl winners, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
