Reframing Neediness
In this episode of the Younivese podcast I speak about Neediness. What is neediness? Is it a bad thing? What if we can unpack that and reframe it, recognising that every single person on the planet is needy, so there's no need (pun intended!) for finger pointing. I would love to hear your feedback on this episode! Has anyone ever called you needy? What was your reaction / response?

The Paradox of Self-Love
This is episode 7 of Series 2 of the Youniverse podcast. How do you go inwards and outwards at the same time, in the journey of Self-Love? Did anyone ever tell you that to follow your heart and do exactly what you want is selfish? In this episode I will debunk this myth, showing you that following your heart's deepest desires is actually a path to transcendence, and will help you be a light in the darkness for others. I hope you enjoy this episode. Sign up to my mailing list at www.akashalove.life, to be notified of upcoming products and events to help you love yourself, and love you life.

Carl Jung's 12 Archetypes: Episode 6, Series 2
This is another You-Ni-Verse Podcast episode about the psychiatrist Carl Jung's 12 Archetypes, that he developed to help people better understand their personal psychology and what was motivating them in their life. I hope it is enlightening for you. All of these kind of psychological models are theories, and none of us are going to perfectly fit a mould, so to speak, but if they can be useful for you in identifying your drives and your fears, then they can be helpful in the work of Soul Alchemy.

Creative Empowerment Transmission
This is Episode 5 of Season 2 of the You-Ni-Verse podcast. It is an energetic transmission to help you to connect with your creative essence. If you have lost the spark of creativity in your life (which everyone has as life is innately a creative act) this transmission will help you connect back with it within yourself.

The Narcissism Epidemic and an Alternative Approach
I made this episode of the You-Ni-Verse podcast (Season 2, Ep 3) for you because I have noticed there seems to be an explosion of content on Youtube around the topic of narcissism and narcissistic personality disorder and what to do about it. I propose a different way to look at this problem / challenge if you identify with this relating dynamic.

Creativity and Self Healing
This is podcast episode number 4 of series 3. It is all about creativity; what it is and where it comes from. My You-Ni-Verse album is launched and I use one of the songs, Saraswati, to discuss how we can open to our higher self, and let go of all the stories that limit you and stop your full soul's expression. Yeah baby! We are here to create, to love, and to live our life to the fullest!

Opening up to Intuition and Divine Guidance
In this episode, number 3 of series 3, I share with you some of my process in the creation of my upcoming You-Ni-Verse album of music. I talk about becoming a channel for consciousness to birth something through you, and how you never know who may be affected by the work that is coming through you. So your job is not so much to judge the worthiness of your creations as to open to whatever they are and allow them to come through. This is especially relevant to artists, but I also believe that we are all artists of life, creating our lives each day. I hope you enjoy and I would love to hear from you: info@theglobalyogi.com.

Setting Intentions for Desired Feeling States for 2021
In this episode, number 2 of the third series of the You-Ni-Verse podcast, I invite you to join me in a mini guided meditation style Intention Setting session, where we decide what are our desired feeling states for the coming month and year, and plant the seeds for those to manifest. I also invite you to recognise anything that may be blocking you from experiencing these desired feeling states, and see if you are able to let go of those blockages. It's always a good time to set intentions for living more aligned with expansive and loving feelings, but the New Year is an especially good time for this. I also include goal setting if this is your jam.

Letting go of the idea of 'wrong'
This episode, the first episode of Series 3 of the You-Ni-Verse podcast, is about letting go of the idea of 'wrong': and therefor letting go of the inner (and outer) conflict that results when you make yourself or someone else 'wrong'. What if we can re-frame 'wrong' to instead the idea that this street I am walking down is not my street. The direction I am going is not my direction. I need to heed the warning signs and change direction, rather than making myself or anyone else wrong.

Toxic Shame: What it is and How to Heal it
This week I discuss toxic shame – the feeling that there is 'something wrong with me' or that 'I am inherently bad'. I talk about what this is, where it comes from and a few different approaches to healing it. At the end I take you through a guided meditation which connects you with your inner child so you can have a dialogue with them about this feeling of shame.

Depression and Anxiety as symptoms of Self-Abandonment + A Song
In this episode I speak about anxiety and depression as symptoms of disconnection from self, or self abandonment. This has been my lived experience of both of these supposed 'illnesses'. They are you soul calling out to you to re-connect. I also share a rough version of a song, 'Lila' from my upcoming soon to be released You-Ni-Verse album. Visit my website at www.akashalove.life for more info.

Codependency - What is it and Steps to Healing
This is Episode 9 of Series 2 of the Youniverse Podcast which is all about codependency. Codependency is a relating pattern where you are focussed on meeting the needs of others in order to feel safe in your relationships. It's a dysfunctional pattern that normally develops in childhood when we are unconsciously trained to feel out the needs of others, because we learn that this is the only way that we will be listened to, seen, or have a chance of our needs being met.

The Buddhist Path of Non-Contention
This episode is about managing conflict that arises from attachment to views and opinions: 'I'm Right, You're Wrong' using a Buddhist approach rather than the habitual, instinctive attack and defense or avoidance approaches. I quote some passages from the book 'I'm Right, You're Wrong' by Ajahn Amaro published by Amaravati Publications. This is a free book distributed at Theravadin Buddhist monasteries.

'You are the Universe' Guided Meditation
This week I bring you a guided meditation called 'You are the Universe'. This meditation is designed to help you expand into the depth of yourself, to connect to your inner beauty, your inner magic and the amazing miracle of who you are. When you are fully connected in with yourself, and creating your life from within, anxiety and depression slowly dissipate from your life. Though sadness may still come in and out, it will not stay, because your base frequency is love.

A Poem: The Alchemist's Dream
In this week's episode I share a poem I wrote called the Alchemist's Dream. The main theme of this poem is the processing of some traumatic events from childhood (bullying). I hope this poem helps you with your own processing of any painful or traumatic events in your childhood or past. For me the process of Soul Alchemy that I teach in my Self Love 101 course, is all about learning to integrate painful experiences into our inner self and alchemising them into love.

Balancing the Self: The Fine Line Between Too Much and Not Enough Self
This week's You-Ni-Verse podcast is all about the self, specifically the ego. How do we know how much of ourselves is enough or how much is too much. Many spiritual teachings teach people to transcend the ego, but we do need our egos in order to get around in the world. We need them in order to reach our goals and realise our dreams in this life. The ego is not bad, per se. I has gotten a lot of bad wrap over the years, but its only destructive if it's the one running the show all the time, rather than your higher self or higher consciousness. In this episode I discuss the extremes of egoic self - too much self (arrogance, domination and manipulation) and not enough self (submission, people pleasing, hiding your light). How do we navigate these two extremes of self so as to be in a harmonious, balanced relationship with our selves and others?

Developing Clear Boundaries - Working with the energy of mine and ours and ours
What is it that creates conflict in relationships? I find that generally it is unclear communication. And then there is also the elements of control and manipulation, which are usually unconscious and hidden in some way. This episode, number 4 in Series 2 of the You-Ni-Verse podcast, takes you through a guided meditation on working with your boundaries so that you have clear and harmonious relationships with others, and so you are also able to intuitively know who is good for you and who is not.

The power of creating routine in your life
In this episode of the You-Ni-Verse podcast I speak about the power of a daily routine, and how it helps to get emotional and mental clarity, as well as to put into place whatever you need to put in place to reach your goals. And if you don't know what your goals are, a daily routine will help you get clarity on that too. :) And if you have no goals, that's fine too of course, as long as you are happy.

The daily practice of cultivating inner peace :)
This is Series 2, Episode 2 of the You-Ni-Verse podast. I talk about the practice of cultivating inner peace within ourselves. I share some teaching from the Tao Te Ching and also from Thich Nhat Han. And finish with a Mantra song you can sing along to. :)

Morning Affirmations for Self Love and Emotional Healing
This is the first episode in Series 2 of the You-Ni-Verse podcast. I offer you a guided affirmations meditation, with background music by yours truly. This is designed to be listened to first thing in the morning - maybe lying down in bed before you are fully awake, to set you up for a joy filled happy day :). Sounds good?

Being with What Is
Episode 13 of the You-Ni-Verse podcast where I speak about being with your emotions and not pushing them away. I discuss some of the techniques I use for being with what is, and how meditation can help us to stay with challenging emotional states. In between I mention the Ink Spots, the Persian poet Rumi and the Tao Te Ching as aids to this practice. Please send me your ideas for topics for new podcast episodes at akashalove2020@gmail.com or via my Instagram account instagram.com/akashalove108.

Unpacking Jealousy - What is it and What are some good ways of healing it?
This episode, number 12 in the first of the You-Ni-Verse series, discusses jealousy. I look at the underlying emotions and then I talk about my approach to flipping the switch on jealousy so that you are able to celebrate the blessings and the successes of friends and colleagues. This then helps plant and nurture the seeds in you to help manifest the things that you want to happen for yourself. I end this episode with a mantra style song, Om Namah Shivaya, from the Shaivism spiritual lineage from India that is based on Oneness or Unity consciousness.

Aniexty and Panic attacks as Wake up Calls - Part 2
So, after last week's episode on Anxiety and Panic attacks as possibly a wake up call from your higher self to you, to let you know that something has go to change, I wanted to continue on this week on the same theme as I have more to say on it. I talk about how there is never 'something wrong with you', regardless of what mental health professionals or family members say. Life - in the form of emotional disturbances or physical ailments, is always nudging us closer to our true selves and our true path.
If you are interested in hearing more about this topic, and how to heal from Anxiety and Panic Attacks, please sign up to my mailing list at www.akashalove.life, and you'll hear about upcoming products and events.

Two kinds of Anxiety, what they mean and how to manage them
What is anxiety, for you? Is it just a horrible mind state that you want to get rid of as soon as possible, or does it perhaps have a deeper message for you? In this, Episode 10 of the You-Ni-Verse podcast, I discuss everyday 'worry mind' anxiety and some ways to mitigate and manage it (and hopefully reduce it) and then also intense anxiety like panic attacks, and what they might mean for you. It's probably not what you think it is!

The Star Power of feeling your feelings
Episode 9 of the You-Ni-Verse podcast where I speak about how our connection with our own feelings is our 100% foolproof internal navigation system, but how, thanks to the programming many of us received in childhood, we may be disconnected with our own feelings. In this episode I share some ways to reconnect, and also to use our feelings to guide us to clear communication and boundary setting with others.

Desire to Communicate V Desire to Hide: Which Wins?
This is episode 8 of Series 1 of the You-Ni-Verse podcast. In this episode I discuss the quote from Donald Winnicott: "Artists are people driven by the tension between the desire to communicate and the desire to hide". How do we deal with these conflicting desires in a self-accepting and self-loving way, and manage to keep showing up in life and sharing our truth and our gifts? Hint: Buddhist philosophy can help a lot with unravelling this question!

Receiving the Gift of Yourself
This episode is about how we need to receive our own gifts for ourselves first, before we are able to share them with others. First we receive our own gifts, and then we share from our full cup. I talk about how we do this 'receiving of ourselves' through a couple of different processes - inner dialogue and creativity. And at the end I share one of my songs, Breathe in My Sunshine.

A meeting with your selves
This episode is about the concept that there is not just one 'self' but rather multiple. These different selves we have can include sub personalities like the perfectionist, the obsessive compulsive, the healer and then also the inner child as well as the parts of ourselves that are connected up with our unique talents. I start out with the poem 'Now I become myself' by May Sarton.

Mindfulness of the Body Meditation
In this episode, I take you through a guided meditation on Mindfulness of the Body - the first of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness from the Buddhist tradition. This is a meditation from the Vipassana (Buddhist Insight Meditation) which helps you develop a healthy relationship with your body, and especially it's great for healing things like eating disorders and addictions.

Connecting with your Inner Nature
In this episode we look at our inner nature as a microcosm of the macrocosm. We are the universe in miniature! Inside of us we have the five elements, same as in the outside world, and to be in balance internally, these elements need to be working in harmony within. Included is a guided meditation of about 27 minutes designed to connect you with your inner nature.

What's in a Name?
This podcast is about names. What meaning is embedded in a name, and what are the reasons that people change their names or take on a new name? I discuss my own process, as well as people such as Aya Khema, Taika Waititi, Marilyn Monroe, Nina Simone and Acharya Premananda.

The You-Ni-Verse Backstory
This episode I discuss the reasons why I am launching this You-Ni-Verse podcast and talk about my experience of spiritual awakening through a Vipassana retreat. I also talk about one of my favourite people, Buddhist nun, teacher and author, Aya Khema.
