After discussing 20th century Chinese politics, Zane and Greg jump into comedy and hecklers, as Zane tries to convince Greg to cash in and start directing stand-up comedy specials. Oh, and Steve's back -- for better or worse. 

Seamus Dever, best known for his role as Detective Kevin Ryan, on Castle, joins Zane for some confessions. Zane confesses that he thought Jon Huertas (Castle, This is Us) was a bee-keeper when he came over to Zane's house. Seamus confesses that he called one of his teachers an asshole. And then Seamus drops a bomb on Zane, with his confession that he has a hip hip group with Jon Huertas. There's a lot going on!

Shane Hartline, from Station 19 talks about how he started out his entertainment career as a professional wrestler, named Rip Malibu (who had an amazing signature move) at an impressively young age. Steve’s back from his vacation in Maui, during which he experienced consistent winds, torrential rain, and a tsunami evacuation. Not fun for Steve, but fun for us. We learn why Steve's family calls him is "Stubby"... Zane gives us the cocktails that come with the worst hangover. The guys recant their walk with Tom Cruise. Zane reads through an application to be his assistant. Then, after a disagreement, Zane tries to understand why he and Steve are still friends.

Zane talks about what it was like to be a guest on The Tonight Show, and what happened when he ran into Ziggy Marley (who was also a guest that night) a year later. He also talks about the time he was dangerously “over-vaccinated” before a trip to Tanzania, which happened the same day that he had a dinner with two producers that were pitching him a sitcom. It didn't end well. Steve talks about shooting his short-lived cooking show “Steve’s Hangover” and how much he drank while shooting the pilot, and then he bores us with details about his trip to Maui.

Steve gets a COVID test so he can go to Hawaii. Zane tells the story of when he sold his car to the director of Shrek. Zane's upcoming stand up comedy tour is explained. And, Steve talks about his buddy "Staples" who is basically a doctor, and tries to convince Zane to make Richmond, VA a stop on his tour, even though Steve doesn't live there anymore!

Zane invites his author friend, Joel Stein to discuss Zane's recent discovery of the KFC Double Down. Until now, Zane had never heard of this monstrous creation which is essentially two fried chicken filets with cheese and bacon between them. Unfortunately, KFC stopped selling the Double Down, so Zane and Joel have to get creative to experience such a huge landmark in fast-food history.

Many of our guests like to bring in bottles when they come on the show, however CEO & Founder of Free Flow Wines, Jordan Kivelstadt, decided that he wanted to bring in an entire keg of wine instead. Yep, that's right, a keg of wine. He, along with Kazia Schulhof of Trefethen Family Vineyards, try to help Zane finish off 26 bottles worth of Trefethan's 2012 Dry Rieslings.  While diving into the keg of wine we also hear how wine on tap may very well be the next big thing at your local bar or restaurant.

Happy Thanksgiving! For this holiday episode of Happy Hour with Zane & Dunn we gather together our podcast family to talk turkey. We had so much fun with Douglas Spain and Joseph Julian Soria during their last visit that we decided to invite them back. This time they bring their friend Will Rothhaar along as well. French chef and restaurateur, Daniel Boulud, joins us to talk about his new partnership with The Dalmore to create the first "bespoke Single Malt Scotch Whisky created in collaboration with a Michelin-star chef." We enjoy a glass and hear about the intricate process that Daniel and The Dalmore's Master Distiller Richard Paterson went through to create this high-end custom Scotch officially titled The Dalmore Selected by Daniel Boulud.

Tory Belleci of MythBusters and Blow It Up joins us today to talk about the joys of science and, well, blowing things up. Tory explains how he first broke into the film industry and became a model builder for many big blockbusters including The Matrix and Star Wars prequels. This leads us into a Star Wars discussion which brings out Zane's true inner nerd. Then Zane and Tory recap the great times of the Los Angeles Chug premiere party which included plenty of drinks, silly pictures, funny hats, and Zane "injuring" himself for a photo.

National Vodka Day is tomorrow (October 4th) but we're celebrating early with special guest Jeremy Luke from the new film Don Jon. Jeremy also has a lead role in Frank Darabont's upcoming TV mini-series, Mob City. Filling in for Zane is our ol' pal Oliver Cooper. Oliver stole last year's mega-party movie Project X and has a prominent role in the new Ben Affleck-Justin Timberlake thriller Runner Runner. We sample and review a number of different flavored vodkas including whipped cream, salted caramel and -- yikes!-- tobacco....yes, tobacco.  Regular and menthol-flavored. Turns out Oliver and Jeremy have both worked with actor Louis Lombardi (The Sopranos, 24), so we give him a call to close out the show.

The man, the myth, the legend himself, Steve McKenna joins us again for today's podcast. Zane and Dan are also reunited and decided to celebrate the only way they know how, with drinks! He was a long-time co-host of the former Fox Sports Net show The Best Damn Sports Show Period, and now devotes much of his time espousing the benefits of the vegan lifestyle... which includes John's delicious wines from The Vegan Vine. John's as fun and engaging a cat as they come, and the conversation runs the gamut from b-ball to healthy eating to tips on better tanning.

Scott Campbell is a famed artist and tattoo professional renowned for his remarkable work for leading figures in the fashion, art and Hollywood communities. Inspired by his love for wine and the success of his prominent tattoo shop, Saved Tattoo, Scott has teamed up with renowned Paso Robles winemaker, Clay Brock, to produce Saved Wines. Glenn Howerton, who plays Dennis on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia joins Zane & Dunn to talk about the premiere of the new season starting September 4th on FXX (FX's new channel). We discuss the Sunny Super Fans, the series' humble beginnings and its rise into a hugely successful (and hilarious) TV show.   We are also joined by renowned mixologist and barman, Aiden Demarest, who brings in some Bluecoat Gin to get Zane & Dunn  liquored up before Glenn arrives.

Zane sits down with the director of Drinking Buddies, Joe Swanberg, for a special interview that will be included on their DVD special features.
