The NY Senate and Assembly has passed a bill to extend the filing deadlines for designating petitions from April 6 to April 10th because of Passover. Press Conference on Challenging Onondaga County map
I took part in a Press Conference today with Legislator Chris Ryan and Common Council President Helen Hudson announcing the filing of a legal challenge to the Onondaga County Legislative maps which we allege are a partisan and racial gerrymander in violation of the Onondaga County Charter, the Municipal Home Rule Law, and NY Constitution. Commissioner in a Car: NYS Redistricting: Congressional Maps drop.
Today I talk about the congressional maps that just dropped in New York State. I talk about the new district that I am nicknaming the Center City district encompassing all of Onondaga County and portions of Schuyler, Ontario, Cayuga, Madison, Tompkins, and Cortland County. This unites the cities of Syracuse, Oneida, Auburn, Geneva, Ithaca, and Cortland as well as their surrounding areas. I also give a little history of how we got to the NYS legislature drawing these maps instead of non partisan citizen led redistricting which I continue to advocate for. Enjoy.

Absentees can be requested by hand delivering a note with you name address Date of birth and describing why you need an absentee at Onondaga County Board of Elections and authorizing person to p[ick up absentees.
Absentees must be postmarked today or dropped off to any polling place
Affidavit ballots for those who are moved are available. You should go to your new polling place
Court Orders for those who arent registered will be available at BOE 1000 Erie Blvd. W. Syracuse NY 13204 starting at 6am.
